The Six Strings That Drew Blood

About Me

I was born on a cold winter's day in 1971. I was blond as a child. I once coasted my parent's car into the side of the WMCA across the alley from our apartment. When "Rock the Casbah" came out, my friend Dave and I would argue over who got to do the digital watch sounds ("The jet fighters tuned to the cockpit radio glare") The first girl I kissed was Missy Smith. I was a highschool metalhead who was friends with the punks (so I never got beat up in the punker-metalhead wars.) "Too Tough To Die" was the first Ramones LP I owned. My first guitar strap was pink on a imitation Steinberg bass. I lost my virginity on the only day I ever put my mohawk up. My band Finster played with the Lemonheads and Fun-Lovin' Criminals. My band Comiskey Players played CBGB. I lived in Altoona PA for 14 years, Hollidaysburg PA for 6 years, State College PA for 10 years, Philadelphia PA for 6 years, and now live in Washington DC with the love of my life. I've never been out of the country, and the farthest I've been from my birthplace is Washington state.
Anything else, ask me.
I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !

My Interests

music, movies, music, books, music

I'd like to meet:

Here's the thing; I'm not trying to be a hard ass or anything, but my profile is set to only add people who know my name or e-mail for a reason-I don't have any wish to add a bunch of people that I'll never, ever talk to. I understand poeple who are on here to promote their band or photography or whatever. I have some of those people. That I added myself. I WILL NOT ADD YOU IF I DON"T GET A MESSAGE FIRST. Just because you figured out a loophole to get the request in does not endear you to me, and will almost certainly get you rejected. I use myspace as a way to keep in touch with people that I actually care about/want to know what's going on in their lives. This is not a popularity contest for me. I'm very happy with the friends I have.

That being said, if you read my profile and feel that we have stuff in common and you would want to be "friends," TALK TO ME!Everyone must watch this. Now.(And support my friend Pammy. She's cool. And hot. Does that make her lukewarm?)..

Music:

Johnny Cash, The Clash, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Hank I & III, Ramones, Tom Waits, X, Pogues, Dresden Dolls, Iggy/Stooges, D.I., D.R.I., D.O.A., Sex Pistols, Misfits, Patti Smith, Bruce Springsteen, Circle Jerks, Suicidal Tendencies, Dead Kennedys, Youth Brigade, Birthday Party, Original Sinners, Nick Drake, Einsturzende Neubauten, Atomic Mom, Jaxy and the 357's, Sheryl Crow, Pigface,Lucinda Williams, Linda Ronstadt, Leonard Cohen, Green Day, Merle Haggard, Alison Krauss and Union Station, Seldom Scene, Stray Cats, Full Frontal Folk, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Descendents, Sade, Dead Milkmen, the Who, MC5, Black Sabbath/Ozzy, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Phish, Grateful Dead (yes, you can like that hippy shit and still be a punk), Monkees, Speed Crazy, 7 Shot Screamers, Black Flag, Pink (yeah, what of it?), Supersuckers, New York Dolls, Kiss, Dead Boys, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Fuzzbox, Scruffy the Cat, Harry Chapin, old Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Dgeneration, Whiskeytown, Kris Kehr, Patsy Cline, Replacements, Generation X, Devo, Madonna, Prince, Social Distortion, Operation Ivy, Jet, Donnas, Journey, Judas Priest, Iron Madien, Cure, Adam Ant, Duran Duran, Brimstones, Twats, Full Blown Cherry, Kings o' Nuthin', Young Werewolves, Revelevens, Hudson Falcons, Motel Blonde, Bedroom Ledgends, Four Barrel Ghost, Highway 13, Slack-Jawed Yokels, Comiskey Players, Los Griswolds, Sideshow Prophets, Sugar Skulls, Ghouls, Philly music, old school punk, really, just about anything except new school country and most pop music. If it comes from the heart and not from a producer's desire to retread something that was good, or just give the masses watered down mindless pop music so that drunk college kids have something to grind to so that they get all hot and go home and fuck, then I support it. Oh, and I hate opera. Have to listen to that shit at work way too much. Open kitchens suck.

Heroes:

Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer, Johnny Carson
