About Me

Welcome friends, fiends and sex machines, to our little spot on the web. We're an NEPA based rock n roll band called "The MESS". If you're not familiar with us or our sound, We take an insane blend of Classic rock, Acoustic rock, Glam, Punk, and Metal and throw it into a blender with the result being us as we are without compromises. Although this band is our main passion in life any other free time is put towards partying and having as good of a time as humanly possible without getting arrested. So if you're looking for alittle somthing different, rather than the old dreadful Dave Matthews cover band, come on out to see us. We play alot in the local scene of NEPA and hopefully we'll see you at a MESS show sometime soon, having too much to drink with us. Cheers!!!;

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: myspace.com/themess
Band Members: Jay Luke- Lead Vocals, Rhythm guitars
Janson Harris- Lead Guitars, rhythm Guitars
Brian- Bass guitar

Influences: Our influences are ecclectic at best. We're influenced by bands that are true to themselves & don't bow down to anyone that stands in the way of their vision. Well here goes in no particular order: The Rolling Stones, The Clash, Hanoi Rocks, H.I.M., The Ramones, Iron Maiden, Amorphis, The Misfits, Johnny Thunders, The Crue, To Die For, The Cure, Social Distortion, Stone Temple Pilots, David Bowie, Guns N Roses, Alice in Chains, The Cult, Thin Lizzy, W.A.S.P., Tom Petty, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Rick James, Bouncing Souls, Amorphis, Charon, 69 Eyes, Van Halen, KISS, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Type O Negative, Slade, The Suicide Twins, The Cherry Bombz, Velvet Revolver, Pantera (R.I.P. Dimebag Darrell), Sex Pistols, Roky Erickson, Aleister Crowley, Stewie Griffin & Johnny Cash to name a few.
Sounds Like: The MESS' sound can best be described as shots of Classic rock, Punk, Glam, Acoustic and Metal, poured into one blender and mixed. Or the spiritual invocation of our influences all meshed together. The results are us playing the most difficult, entertaining songs we can whether it is on our acoustic guitars or with the full on electric driven incarnation. The MESS is all about giving our most sincere performances without bleeding to death onstage. Because you have to bleed alittle when you sing, or else the words don't mean a thing.
