My top friends are mostly musicians I feel worth the listen. I am at home in Guelph, Ontario getting ready for a wild and prosperous summer. I am putting bookings together for the fall, winter and beyond; and the progress on the new Mo' Kauffey CD continues.!
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!Now, moving on to the mp3s on my page, there are live recordings from different gigs with different folks, hmmmm all Colorado gigs. Details are all in lyrics tab (players/dates, etc)The newest is: "Sittin' in La La" recorded this past June. "Railroad Work Song" is with a 5 piece band at the Crystola Inn, and is a very fortunate capturing of live Mo'!. I hope you enjoy! I play in the hallway between the folk and the blues blending elements of blues, jazz, country, New Orleans and rock and folk music, not something I try to do, it is just what I do. Think J.J. Cale meets…………….somebody. I write songs and I adapt others songs to my style, trying to pay homage to what moved me, yet trying to add my own flavor to the recipe. I am not the kind of player that has played with everyone, yet I have been blessed by attracting some incredible players to join my party. The new Mo’ cd is chugging along nicely with Max Bent at the producer's wheel and should be done sometime this summer, stay tuned for Mo' details on that. so if you can't come see me live then GO SEE SOMEBODY!
