Sometimes life throws a curve ball... in the right direction!

About Me

..

My Interests

I love being a mom. Tyler is 7 now. He will be in the 1st grade! His kindergarten year was amazing. He got several student of the six weeks awards, endless compliments from the teachers as well as being nick named "angel baby" and "my favorite". His teachers go on and on about how wonderful he it. I don't know what changes when he comes home though! Ha! He also played coach pitch baseball this year. He was the smallest one but he held his own! Tyler loves Music, board games, swimming, learning, snuggling (even though he won't admit it), and telling stories. His imagination is unbelievable! His memory is even more unbelievable. I really think he should be a little actor. Our favorite thing to share is music. However, most of the time I have to listen to "his" song (whatever it is that week) over and over and over and over!!! We have finally made a deal when it comes to the radio in the car... We listen to his music on the way there and my music on the way home. It's crazy how I'm compromising with a 7 year old!
We live in Roanoke now. We have an apartment very close to Texas Motor Speedway. I never thought i would say this, but I love apartment living. We go to the pool, fish in the pond, and walk Bella (Tyler's puppy who is now a year old.) I love where we live. We are 5 minutes from the country and 5 minutes the other way from Southlake. Life is good! It's nice to know I can provide for myself and my son with out depending on someone else. I look forward to getting married again someday, though. I have to have at least ONE more kiddo! But, I am enjoying my independence… and Tyler enjoys getting my full attention. He does want a little brother or sister someday… and he will be a great big brother. But we are pretty happy with it being "just the two of us" for now!

I'd like to meet:

I love meeting new people and feel there is something to learn from everyone.

Music:

I love music...all types. I'm not really in to rap or heavy metal, but that doesn't mean I don't have an appreciation for it. Music can pump me up or bring me down. It can spark a memory or make a memory. There is no way I could list every group I like so here are a few.
Jack Johnson, Dashboard Confessional, The Killers, Hawthorn Heights, The Cure, Erasure, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, The Used, Fuel, Sublime, Jim Brickman, Enya, David Gray, Garden State Sdtk, 50 First Dates Sdtk, Billy Joel, Bob Marley, Dave Mathews, Nickelback, Fleetwood Mac, 10,000 Maniacs, 3 Doors Down, Foo Fighters, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Gary Stewart, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams I II and III, Bellamy Brothers, Jack Ingram, CCR (both), Kevin Fowler, Randy Rogers, Jason Boland, Cory Morrow, Charlie Robison, Reckless Kelly, and the list goes on and on!

Growing up I had all of my needs and many of my wants. No matter how many mistakes I have made he has always been there with open arms and an open heart. I will always be greatful for everything he has done and still does for me. I am and always will be his girl.

Am I not destroying my enemies when I make them my friends? ~Abraham Lincoln
