About Me

I've traveled this country far and wide and I'm still not done yet. I want to travel the world and breath the air from Asia to the Austrailian outback, then up to the Swiss Alps and down to the African wilds, then over to the South American Rainforests, and up to the Mayan Ruins in Central America. The older I get the less I believe in carreers. Some say go make something of yourself; go to college, get a good job, buy a house, start a family and save for retirement. I say, "how restricted and dull. And how common. To hell with the expected and common, be free, be you, live and explore all you can and continue to dream and set goals, because why not make all you can out of this life whether it is the only life or one following another exhistance. I love finding beauty and I believe in art and creativity even though I sometimes find my self being critical. I love to be around plants and animals and out in the landscape. This is the ever evolving Franklin, who I am.

open to a wide range. classic rock; Eagles, Fleetwood Mack, Journey, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, CCR, on and on. modern rock; Evenessence, Nickel Back, 3 Doors Down, Avril Lavigne, Chevelle and lots more. also like movie sountracks, mellow, new age, some easy listening, some country, and can put up with some rap from time to time, but rarely

Movies:

I like anything from classic to stupid funny comedies to those that are really good, but you never heard about; Bullit, Larence or Arabia, Deeply, Pleasantville, Gladiator, Terminal, Love Actually, Italian Job, Ronin, Master and Commander, Entrapment, Mission Impossible, A River Runs Through It, The Punisher, Out Cold and the list goes on. Looking forward to "Serenity," in theaters September 30th!

Television:

I really don't watch it often, but I do enjoy watching CSI, The Simpsons, The Family Guy, sometimes a reality show like Survivor and some comedies. Just about anything about vehicles and educational shows are good to.

Books:

I like fiction, non-fiction, audobiographies, biographies, educational books. Latest reads; Fiber(inspiring), The Fall (excellent), How to Live Debt Free (a bit dull, but interesting), magazines: auto magazines, Popular Mechanics, Discovery

Heroes:

I think people like Thomas Edison, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Pain, Rudolph Diesel and Einstien deserve to be noted as some the greatest. Their tremedous impact is so taken for granted today. I suppose I'm still waiting to discover my personal hero.
