Bio: Hailing from Queens, New York City, Bibliotek have taken cues from the likes of MJ Cole, Kaskade, Artful Dodger, and Inland Knights and have created their own unique brand of House and UK Garage. Producers Architekt 9 and Delek rely on a multitude of influences to shape their sound into a mix of heavy melody and thumping rhythm. Not content to remain in the boundaries of a single genre, Bibliotek decided early on to produce various styles ranging from snappy 2-step breakbeat to sexy four-to-the-floor beats.
While longtime friends, Architekt 9 and Delek began DJing and creating music as Bibliotek in 2003. Gathering heavy influence from the dance music movement of cities like Chicago, New York and London, Bibliotek formed with the intention of putting their own mark on the sound. With Architekt 9 heralding from Germany and Delek from Brazil, the duos exposure to a wide range of musical styles has given them a strong foundation to build on. Their ability to draw from individual experiences and mutual influences is what makes the Bibliotek sound unique. Combining elements from deep-rooted rock and hip-hop pasts, Bibliotek fuses live instrumentation with dynamic synthesizer work and infectious beats that are sure to keep you locked in their groove.
The duo's first release You Blew It (Cest La Vie) introduced them to the UKG scene and was later released in May of 2006 along with remixes by MJ Cole, Karl Tuff Enuff Brown, and Will Phillips on Stereohype Recordings. Always at work, Bibliotek's upcoming releases include 2 remixes on Deesha's "Falling in Love EP" on the Streetz label as well as their original mix on Sumeet's "You Belong To Me EP" coming out on Stereohype Recordings. Both are set to hit the streets in March of 2007. In other exciting news, the boys have just launched their monthly Bibliotek Podcast this month, showcasing the freshest and sexiest House & Garage music around. With 2007 in full swing, you can expect to hear alot more from these talented producers!
