Cowboy Records was founded in 1992 and established itself as an independent record label renowned the world over. From 1997 until the beginning of 2005 Cowboy Records left the territory to other labels, however, Cowboy is back with new and aspiring ‘young guns’ taking the A&R reins. Tracking down new sounds and artists, with a passion for dynamic electro/techno/breaks... “ The Cowboy has been outlawed since 1997 but now he’s back in town to settle some scores…†Cowboy Records is renowned for signing many successful artists in the 90’s such as, Pizzaman aka Norman Cook, Talizman, The Aloof, Secret Life, Déjà Vu, Suzi Carr and many more. Cowboy Records helped break dance music onto national radio with underground club releases such as ‘Trippin On Sunshine’ and ‘Sex On The Streets’ by Pizzaman, ‘All Over Me’ - Suzi Carr, ‘Love So Strong’ - Secret Life and many more. Previously based in London Cowboy became a major force in dance music, generating support from many DJ’s such as Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Tall Paul, Seb Fontaine, Danny Rampling, Dave Pearce, as well as producer/remixers David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, The Aloof, Playboys, Rhythm Masters and many more, making Cowboy a hugely respected and admired dance label.
