About Me

Hugh Scott Murray III - 'Hughie' to his mates - is a singer/songwriter and sumpin' piano player who comes from Australia but works mostly in the United States.He has co-written with fellow Aussies Keith Urban and INXS, US Country star Rodney Atkins, and even the late great Lou Rawls penned one with Hughie in the back of a limo on the way to an LA concert.The new album 'Walkin in the Sun' (working title) is the sound of a journey artist hitting stride. Recorded in Nashville with his ' BiG old BuS Band' there is a swell of anticipation leading up to its release.In the footsteps of Ray Charles, Van Morrison and story tellers Kris Kristofferson and Tom Waits his songs cross genres from darkest country to a gumbo of reggae, cuban and swing influences.Enjoy listening and thanks for stopping by...jump on the Big ol' Bus..... sign up for the mailing list here
