Since the tender age of two Tashae has been moved from place to place. A Ft. Myers native she has lived in a plethora of environments outside of her small town birth place inclusive of Germany, Augusta, GA; Jacksonville, FL; Oak Harbor, WA; San Diego, CA; and Dallas, TX. The R & B sensation currently resides in Tallahassee, FL after receiving her Bachelor..s degree in Psychology from Florida A & M University. She accredits a mobile upbringing for her eclectic musical taste. ..Each one of these places has helped me develop into the artist that I am today, I have had the pleasure and the privilege to see all sides of the music world through these different places. It keeps me open minded about all different genres of music. But I..ve also never really had a place to call home...These days Tashae makes her home at the studio with a set of head phones, a fire track coming through the other end, and the love of her life Mic waiting patiently in front of her. ..I..ve been singing since I could talk, I wanted to sing because I would listen to my mother sing and I wanted to sound like her... Outside of her mother Monica, Nivea, and Mariah Carey have influenced Tashae. ..Monica for her soulful, bold tone as well as her down to earth, girl next door attitude. Nivea for the emotion and energy she brings to a track and Mariah for her amazing vocal abilities.The soulful emotional energy illustrated through Tashae..s amazing vocals would lead one to believe that she was influenced well. ..The first R & B song that I actually took to a liking to was En Vogue..s Giving Him Something He Can Feel. I would perform and act like I was one of the girls in the group. I would do it for anyone who..d listen... And people have been listening ever since. Possessing an undeniable musical gift and the charisma to accompany it, Tashae is an addition to the game that was well worth the wait.
