Sometimes you just have to look past the obvious through to what's really being said.

About Me

My first real shot at painting. Don't be too harsh.

I still
believe in dignity. Even on myspace. Especially on myspace.

Someone had the right idea...

A mechanical typewriter and a great view. THIS is what makes Santa Cruz GREAT!

My Interests

Two things I'd like to point out:
1) Just because I'm an American living abroad does not mean that I'd care to hear your opinion on George Bush, nor would I particularly like to hear you moan about your bad experiences with American travel, currency, diplomacy, etc. Just because I'm American does not make me an ambassador.
2) I do not support PETA or PETA2. I use to support PETA back in my strap-myself-to-a-boat-because-the-water's-being-polluted days. But because I learned that they advocate abortion I will not support them. How can you save an animal's life yet kill a human? I say Save the baby humans. PETA can kiss my activist bottom.

My Messiah. Music. Coffee. Chocolate. Marine life. The feeling of the ocean on my feet. The feeling of the air from a scuba tank. Laughing. Golden Gate Bridge. Making things like jewellery, bags, tshirts, placemats. Funky hair. The Central Coast of California. Thai, Mexican, Sushi, Vegetarian/vegan foods, anything spicy. Rainforests. Protecting God's creation. Harvest moons. Travelling. Answered prayer- for other people especially. Tidepools. Tulips. Photography. French fries burritos (together). Seeing people beyond their situations. Redwood trees. Pretzels. Life. Truth. Hope. Peace. Comfy hoodies.

I'd like to meet:

BOYS! If you have a load of girls on your top list paired with pictures of yourself shirtless- NOT INTERESTED! Go Away! Don't even bother to send a message! SHOO!!!

BANDS! If you're in a band, unless I know you personally I probably won't add you. Feel free to message me and I'll take a listen though. Thanks.

For the rest of ya'll, I wasn't put on this earth to be a number in your myspace friends list, so if you're not really going to be a friend (see below definition) please don't waste my time. Thanks.

FRIEND: Pronunciation: 'frend Function: noun Etymology: Middle English frend, from Old English frEond; akin to Old High German friunt friend, Old English frEon to love, frEo free
1 a : one attached to another by affection or esteem b : ACQUAINTANCE
2 a : one that is not hostile b : one that is of the same nation, party, or group
3 : one that favors or promotes something (as a charity)
4 : a favored companion

You have to know my email or last name to add me- I'm not into adding randomers! Message me if you would like to say hi... It's customary to introduce yourself when you meet someone new and myspace shouldn't be an exception.

Things you probably wished you never knew about me (PART 3):
- The strangest dream I ever had and still recall (from when I was about 10) was walking into Kmart (a really aweful American superstore) and they were having a 'Go Away' party for Fred Flinstone. It was quite traumatic actually.
- When I use a public toilet I have to tear off the bottom squares of toilet paper before I tear off what I'm going to use. Don't want to use some paper that's been pawed YUCK!
- When I was a kid I wanted to be a writer and my pen name was Charlotte, but I don't remember what my surname was.
- The best concert I've been to was KISS at Dodger's Stadium on Halloween. Gene Simmons soaring over the audience, mean pyrotechnics, and rock and roll! Yeah baby!!!
- I've learnt that whilst using Kool Aid to color your hair blue you should be careful that not only is it sugar-free but also sweetner free. The aftermath of that mistake was not pretty.

"SHUT YOUR YAMMERING SKULL CAVE!"

Music:

If I had to define myself I'd say I'm a bit hippie, a good deal metal, a tad gothabilly, somewhat punk, tethered by a sprinkling of southern rock (though country is never a permissable substitute) and topped with cheese.THIS MAGAZINE!

Movies:

Empire Records (why IS it so good?!)
16 Candles
Say Anything
Back to the Future trilogy
Master of Disguise
Little Women
Chronicles of Narnia
The Princess Bride
Remember the Titans
Walk the Line
50 First Dates
The Usual Suspects
Les Miserables
The Breakfast Club
.... to be honest I dont get to the cinema much. It's a phenominal waste of money.

Television:

Can't say as I really care that much any more.

Books:

Not that I'd recommend them all, but this is what's in my library...

Heroes:

I only know one guy who rose from the dead.

My Blog

In the Name of Love.

As I drew close to the group gathered under a grey sky that was growing heavier and seeming to draw downward on us I was surprised at the number that had come. Most I recognised in some way, many from...
