Hi, I'm Marto. I'm the kinda guy whose addicted to English Tea, ginger biscuits & house improvement programs. I like to think of myself as a chilled out, honest liberal kinda guy, who can get on with many and can have a laugh. I can be very opinionated and I'm a good listener (so I've been told) and enjoy hearing views of others in comparison to mine. My hair is naturally blonde and am proud. I have 3 piercings, tongue & two 8mm plugs in each ear. I believe I can have an artistic mind, though it doesn't come out as often as id like. I can't stand stuck-up or, arrogant or egotistical people. I do however have a huge respect for honest people - even when they've done wrong. I forgive but never forget. My fears include: needles, moths, static shocks & window cleaners.
My annoying habits include excessive tapping on various surfaces. I'm no drummer, but I'm always tapping. And when I'm not tapping, I'm whistling. And more than very often Fra-Ra-Jaka. It's kinda compulsive and I hate it... I also loathe tabloid newspapers with a passion and hate the fact we live in a generation of iPod ignorant obsessions.

I love to love and hate hating. I love the be the center of attention but don't look for it. I hate egotism but without it you wouldn't get anywhere in life. I love dark colours and i love light colours. I love small places and I love huge expanses of space. I love averageness and love unpredictability and spontaneity. I like old and I like new. I don't like to take life too seriously and I don't like to be taken too seriously either. I don't label myself as anything but you're welcome to judge. I like hearing interpretations anyways. I like take life as it comes. "Whatever happens happens" is my motto.
Music for me is probably the largest part of my life which shows from my ever growing mass of CDs. Which currently towers at just under 300 original cds. My heart is in Metal, Industrial, but i also listen to Rock, Drum n' Base, Breakcore, Punk, Ska, Indie, Instrumental Classical and Orchestral music. I'm not in a band before you ask and nor can I play any instruments or sing (well). I also cant stand formulaic music - i get bored.
Photography & Arts is a huge part of my life which I love dearly also. I'm self taught (its the best way to learn) & have been photographing for nearly 5 years. I'm currently trying to exhibit my work so if you're interested, feel free to message me.
I like the thought or perception of trying to bring something else to the table. I find it uncomfortable to stick to a style or feature, within my work. I often don't like to try talk for my work, but rather allow my work to perhaps talk for me & itself instead. I often prefer not to voice my direction or construct of my work as fear of jading other individuals’ reactions and readings, which I relish hearing, good or bad. For me It’s like a magician keeping buttoned on how the trick is played, as its never the same again if told.

Genres of Photography i appreciate are portraiture, minimalism, architecture, nude & surrealism. I like imagery that portrays a believable "truth".

Film is another factor of me. I collect a lot of dvds and love a lot with British Indie films, which include 28 Days Later, Children of Men, Dead Mans Shoes and V for Vendetta.
