About Me

My name is Heidi. I am married to Todd. We've been together since 1995 and married since 2001. We don't have any kids, but we have have adopted 6 wonderful furchildrens. We have 2 dogs: Onyx and Topaz and 4 cats: Razzle, Jellybean, Malcolm and Alex. We love animals and our pets are our life. Topaz is our seizure dog. He has canine epilepsy and has been having seizures since 2006. We started feeding our dogs a raw diet in December and they LOVE it!!

My husband has a disease called Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome which is similar to Lupus or Factor V Leiden. He was diagnosed in August of 2004 after having a DVT in his calf. We've had a hell of a couple of years. He also has a mess of other autoimmune syndromes. Please see http://www.apsfa.org for more information on APS. In June of 2005, my husband and I, along with a friend from Wisconsin started a non-profit organization in the USA that is dedicated to raising awareness and education for Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome.
