About Me

I'm on an adventure. It's fun. You should join me if you like that sort of thing.

My Interests

Stuff is pretty damn cool. That goes for things too.
- Music (bass)
- Photography
- Movies/Film
- Snowboarding
- Tennis
- Kayaking
- Advertising
- Art/Design
- Golf
- Fishing
- Cycling
- Camping/Hiking
- Traveling
- Illustration
- Video Games

Other Interests:
- Scaring people and my cat Otis (not necessarily at the same time)
- Talking in strange voices
- Beards and moustaches
- Turtle racing
- Extreme Hop-Scotch

I'd like to meet:

If I could meet anyone, I’d go with someone who’s been dead for a long time. It doesn’t even matter who. Abe Lincoln, Genghis Kahn, Socrates, doesn’t matter. Then when people ask I would be like, “yeah, I freakin’ met that guy”. The tough part then is finding ways to bring it up in conversation. It might go something like this...

Person A: “ Some weather out there, huh?”
Andy: “Yeah, it’s definitely hat weather. And you know who wears hats? My friend Abe Lincoln! The only time he takes it off is when he’s posing for penny portraits. He even has a chin-strap for a beard!”

Me and Abe could be good buddies. We’d go snowboarding, walk around downtown on photo excursions and take road trips together. It’s gunna be awesome.

Music:

Since I play, I love all things bass. Especially Les Claypool stuff.
- Primus

Movies:

Movies that show there was some thought behind the way they were shot on the behalf of the Director and Director of Photography usually get a pretty good grade in my book.
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- Adaptation
- Traffic
- The Constant Gardener
- A River Runs Through It
- Good Will Hunting
- One Hour Photo
- 21 Grams
- The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

- The Colbert Report
- Family Guy
- Robot Chicken
- Curb Your Enthusiasm
- Anatomy of a Scene
- Inside the Actors Studio

Books:

You can't not read. Books can be cool, but then other times not so much. I mostly seem to read random stuff in magazines, internet jazz or books I pick at and never finish. I'm not illiterate if that's what you're wondering.

Andy Zissou Rides Again

This morning I went on a little kayak session around Otter Lake, but instead of being my normal dorky self, I stepped it up a notch; I paddled around dressed up as a member of Team Zissou, red hat and...

"Hey, Henry. You go gurl!"

I'm a person who likes a good theory, no matter how rediculous. So then the other day while driving down Lyndale I saw a strange old man wearing a pink shirt and a vest (it was kind of a cross between...

Give Moist a Chance

Everyone seems to be in agreement that the word, "moist" is one horrible adjective. No one likes it. I would assume words like, "damp" and "aqueous" hate it even more for cutting in on their territory...
