About Me

Well what can I say about me that's at all interesting...hmm...I'm 25-years-old and I live in New Britain, but I'm originally from Newington. I work at TRU (where I've been since I was 17), and I'm also a preschool teacher at CCSU's Early Learning Program (which is ironic since I disliked going to CCSU as a student, and now they are my employer, well sort of, because the school is only associated with CCSU by name). I definitely love one job over the other, you be the judge on which one it is (does anyone really like working retail, especially around the holidays, and think about what it's like for me at a toy store on Black Friday). I love kids, they are so full of life and are so carefree. If you'd like to more about me just ask...my aol sn and AIM is carebear021781.HOT Myspace Layouts

My Interests

Anything that has to do with my family tree (I love getting old family pictures), movies, books, music, shopping (what girl doesn't, lol), scrapbooking, learning new things...all typical things really, but I'm up for just about anything...

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who can hold a conversation...I hate it when I have to be the one doing all the talking...but also knows when to stop talking, lol! Hopefully that makes sense! Someone who has goals or someone who has achieved some of their goals. Essentially someone who knows what they want out of life and knows how to get it.

Music:

I love basically all kinds of music...from Shania Twain to Matchbox 20 to Madonna to The Beatles to The Doors to Alicia Keys to just about anything in between.

Movies:

A Walk to Remember is probably my favorite movie. I like movies based on books (ie A Walk to Remember...obviously...About a Boy, and To Kill a Mockingbird, but there are others I love as well...I really like movies involving dancing (ie Dirty Dancing, Flashdance, Save the Last Dance, Step Up, etc.) I also likes movies that can make me laugh like Wedding Crashers and Big Daddy to name a couple.

Television:

Gilmore Girls and Grey's Anatomy are the two I never miss, but I watch all different shows...can't wait for the new seasons to begin.

Books:

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee...and it's one of the only books I enjoyed reading in school...I also like The Scarlet Letter and The Good Earth to name a couple more.

Heroes:

Hmmm...it's hard to say...ONE of them is probably my Aunt Kathy (for being the first person to show me the importance of knowing who/where I came from)...as well as my ancestors on both sides of my family. I would not be who I am if they were not who they were...especially my great-grandmother, Corine, who will be the namesake of my firstborn daughter...also I'd like to mention the people who have shown me how a family should be...you know who you are (it's very interesting to me, that I feel more like a family member to a family that is not even my own, well atleast by blood anyway, than some of the people who actually are in my biological family). And for those of you who are not mentioned, that doesn't mean you're not in my thoughts as a hero in my life...R.I.P Doris Gosselin Tillman 1927-2002 Leandre J. Marchand 1924-1992R.I.P to all the others who have died as well, you know who you are...I hope all of you (who have died) are flying in the clouds...
