Currently I am a Legal Assistant working in the greater O.C. area. Unfortunately, the law firm isn't closer to the beach, but it's okay. My other regular activities involve college, studying,friends and quality time with my monkey. I like to pick people's brain. Knowledgeable people interest me immensly. Mostly due to the fact that I respect those who inform and educate themselves about anything and/or everything. That, and I feel that they have a lot to offer. However I do understand that even though knowlege is a great quality, it's what you do with it that truly matters. True communication isn't possible. Humans have their own perceptions of reality where they feel they connect with others. It's only the lack of real communication that prevents those personal realities from turning to utter loneliness and dispair brought about by the understanding that none of us can ever truly know another. Also, I come off really friendly/talkative and some people (mostly guys) take it the wrong way. So, please do not mistake my friendliness for anything other than what it is. If I get a good vibe from someone, I can get very comfortable and treat them as if I had known them all my life. Which I know causes some people to think (mostly guys) the wrong way. Anyways, I used to walk around and smile at radom strangers on the street/college, until I realized that I can't just smile at someone without them thinking I have intentions or that there is something psychologically weird about me. It's sad that people can no longer just smile at someone and not get the same in return, without it meaning anything. Anyways, like I said I am genuinely a nice person, don't mistake it for anything other than that. Oh and one more thing. I am not here to meet anyone. I will only add you if I have met you "in person". Please do not waste your time. Thank you. SOMETHING TO PONDER: The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, and watch TV too much. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less. These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. So, why is that even though we may agree with the above, we still don't do anything to change? it's just like history repeating itself, yet we never learn from our mistakes.
