I am here for Friends

About Me

'Ello, guvner! I am of the opinion if everyone in the world wore a top hat and a monocle the world would be a much more interesting place, well, at least it would be slightly more comedic?About me, eh? I'm a pretty nice person, the term 'lovely' comes to mind, but if the truth be known I am a bit scatty to say the least. I care about other people's happiness probably more than I should as it leads to worrying about things outside of your control and thats not good because you feel bad for things that happen you wish didn't.I love spending time with friends and people in general because I find people hella interesting, they are all different! It's amazing! Except when people go a bit wrong, but it's normally because they are in a trance.

My Interests

Cooking, mostly for other people. Baking has to be my favourite, I am particularly well known for my banana muffins.I love dancing, I'm not the best dancer in the world but it's fun and I don't seem to care about how stupid I look. Occasionally I get it right!Films, I like fantasy/adventures, sci-fi, cheesy 80s flicks, anything that can hold my attention as I can be quite scatty!

I'd like to meet:

Noel Fielding and Julian Barrett co-writers/creators of the Mighty Boosh, and Jake Gyllenhaal, he's alright!

Music:

I love to dance so anything that has a funky beat will get me up on the dance flo as I am a disco infiltrator fo' sho'! Electro and Indie probably top my list. I'm listening to White Rose Movemment, The Furtureheads, Interpol, Infadels and Ladytron a lot, amongst other things.

Movies:

I am a huge cinema fan! I love film and find it emensely satisfying as a form of escapism. I enjoy watching eighties classics created by a man of that time John Hughes, The Breakfest Club, Pretty in Pink, and Sixteen Candles to say a mere few. I also like films such as Short Circuit, Flight of the Navigator, ET, Labyrinth, I could go on but I won't. American existentialism films also take my fancy if I am in a thinky mood, prime examples would be Donnie Darko or Fight Club. I can appreciate a good sci-fi/fantasy when I see one and am most definitely a big Star Wars fan. Lastly I like black and white movies, I have a tendency towards Audrey Hepburn films but any decent old movie makes me feel all warm and lovely inside, ah!

Television:

The Mighty Boosh holds most of my attention at the moment, I have even been called a 'booshaholic'. Peep show is very good, I used to live with a Jez and a Mark however I am not a Sophie or a Big Suze. Freaks and Geeks was a good series, I could really relate to that one. Spaced is pretty cool... ummmm and the Friday Night Project is fun, Alan Carr is from my home town of Northampton and Justin Lee Collins is from Bristol which has been my home for past few years.

Books:

I am a huge Douglas Adams fan, especially the hitchhiker series. Tom Holt is another favourite of mine. I'm reading Stephen Fry at the moment, he sure knows his way around the english language! Reading is cool, especially when you can ; )

Heroes:

Hello Kitty, and yes she is a real person! My best friend, a Miss Gina Diiulio, anyone who can be that lovely deserves hero status.
