My ultimate interests lie in the distinctive and colorful language of MUSIC. MUSIC to me is as important as the air I breathe. Through music one can express themselves emotionally, mentally, socially, and spiritually. MUSIC has the power to change moods and shift atmospheres. Gospel MUSIC is what I mostly listen to; but I also like Jazz, 70's/80's R&B, some classical, some calypso, soca, and reggae.
There are other interests that I have, but I've drawn a blank because none quite compare to my passion and deep interest in MUSIC - but trust that I do have others.
I'd like to meet:
Well first and foremost, I'll just say that Luther Vandross was supposed to sing at my wedding, but. . . .God knows best. I would also like to meet the finest man on the face of this planet, Will Smith; in addition to him: Kim Burrell, Melvin Crispell, Fantasia, Anita Baker, Israel Houghton, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Noel Jones, Marvin Sapp, Tonex, and Fred Hammond. And when I say meet, I mean shake their hand. . . . There are more, but I can't think of them now. . . .NN
Music:
As stated above in my interests column, I LOVE MUSIC - Gospel MUSIC to be more specific. The Gospel MUSIC that ministers to hearts and souls, and brings about a positive and life changing message to ALL, not just fellow believers. I also like Jazz, 70/80's R&B, some classical, some calypso, soca, and reggae.
Movies:
Let's see, my favorite movie is Brown Sugar - personal story behind that. . . . I also love classics like Coming to America and the Color Purple. I love mostly dramas and action films and I'm always down for a comedy.
Television:
When am I not watching TV. . . that may be a bad thing, but I love TV. I love old and new sitcoms like: I Love Lucy, Golden Girls, Good Times, What's Happenin', The Cosby Show, Roseanne, Fresh Prince (only cuz I think Will Smith is the finest man in America), Jamie Foxx, Living Single, Martin, and Girlfriends, South Park among MANY others.
Books:
My number one favorite book, although its been re-written and translated over and over again, is the HOLY BIBLE. It's my main source of life, assurance, instruction, healing, encouragment, security, joy, peace, love, etc. etc. etc.
Heroes:
My heroes. . . . hmm. . . .JESUS, the ultimate sacrifice, propitiator, advocate, HE took my place, the reason I'm entitled to grace, continuously interceding b4 God's face for my many sins - JESUS took my place so that I may live, be and move as God ordained.
Secondly, I respect and will always look up to my mother - the foundation, caregiver and spiritual seed planter in/of my life.n
