The DnB scene saw a bright new inspiration in 2002. After only a few months behind the turntables Dj Charge had been requested for parties, clubs and major events spanning the south coast and was not surprising when he was requested to perform the opening set for the critically acclaimed South Coast night Itchy. Predictably it was a complete success and Charge received his first of many residencies which produced a continuous crowd of devoted followers. From this already exciting preliminary position it is straightforward to see why in the months and years that followed the early days of Itchy that Charge was snapped up by Breakneck, better known as the best party throwers in the country (Fort Spitbank review : Knowledge Magazine), as well as one of the freshest Jungle, DnB & Old Skool premiere radio stations, Kunninmindz.com. Unsurprisingly, he still holds these residencies to this day, receiving exciting and elating support for promoters and audiences alike, as well as receiving invitations to play in an increasing number of locations across the UK.Since his early days residing at Itchy, Charge has grown from strength to strength. Charge has played alongside the likes of Andy C, Mampi Swift, Pendulum, Friction, Dillinja, Lemon D, Adam F, Zinc, Grooverider, Shy FX, Fresh as well as the legendary Old Skool collaboration Ratpack (to name but a few); playing sets from his hometown in Portsmouth to London and across the UK; Boat Parties to hundred year old military Forts in the middle of the Solent: and who can forget pushing the legendary Valve Soundsystem to some of the highest decibel levels Portsmouth pier can handle without the entire complex falling into the sea!If this wasnt enough Charge is also a promising and stimulating new musical producer creating thrilling, invigorating and energetic new tracks, some of which you will be hearing if you regularly attend Breakneck, and will definitely be buying and playing at home in the near distant future It can only be said that this exciting, fast-paced not to mention energetic Dj looks as if he can take on the rest of the DnB world by storm. That is of course if the rest of the world can keep up with him.Any Producers / Record labels wanting their tunes played out or on radio contact A I M : Charge dj
