Music is my life… So , I couldn’t do anything less than playing the music I love as a DJ , making the radio shows that I like, singing the songs I love (remaking them in my own style), writing lyrics and music and expressing myself through music as time goes by ... I started listening music at the young age of 3 y.o. (funny right?) and had my first radio show back in 1990. Since then I have lots of hours ‘on-air’ but stopped doin’ it only for some years (because of the university) but nothing made me drop what I know best! I Love RADIO… and moreover I love dj-ing , spinning mostly urban tunes, soulful and with a great feeling to move ya… In 1997 I started again having my show on Kiss Fm (in Thessaloniki) and at 2003 moved to Athens, not only to live in the capital, but to come and make my dreams come true. I continued working on Kiss Fm Athens, then had a break at an R’n’B radio (Planet 99.5), and till June 07 i passed by Rythmos Fm 94.9 , 6 to 8 in the afternoon, Mon to Fri, with some of the highest ratings on the current hour, on the radio! On 12th of Nov.2007 i started on the same hour (6 TO 8 IN THE EVENING) ON 95.2 ATHENS DEEJAY (www.athensdeejay.gr)... Stay Tuned! (Also i've been involved on PW record company from 2005 till Oct.07).My DJ experience goes back many years, being resident DJ at some of Thessalonikis’s biggest night clubs (Privilege, Club 51) , made as a host some great parties (Groovylicious, Madonna parties) and played in many clubs across country from 1997 till 2006. For a summer season (2001) I had one of the greatest experiences as a dj, mixing my tunes, at SINNERS club (Faliraki, Rhodes) and since then, I’m spinning urban music or as I say ‘music that makes you move’! The singing goes back to the late 80’s when I formed my first band, recorded a demo, and requested a dj from the no.1 radio station (of my hometown Ioannina) to play my stuff on air. B.T.I. (Big Trouble International) had a hit in 1991 , with ‘Technorap’. I continued doin’ my stuf in Thessaloniki… but for some reason, sth kept me back from this whole thing. So in 2005 I formed Funkytears , and started over again, more experienced this time. With Dimitris Kritikos and Dimitris Lahanis, we had the success of ‘HELLO’, during summer-autumn 2006 , having a huge airplay and great response from bars and clubs across country. Funkytears , was just a project! In some time i am going to release my first EP under my name and i hope u all like it. And so the story goes . . .Watch "HELLO" video here:
