My extraordinarily ordinary life began in Liberty, Missour(uh) and was the best childhood anyone could imagine. I never want to lose the child inside me! After high school in a small town, it was off to the University of Missouri, where I graduated and then taught school for two years. Sales was the next stop in my varied career path, but it was selling educational materials and Dr. Seuss books...LOL
Three years of the road was enough and I went to work for my dad in the staffing industry for too many years. I continued educational consulting with my new job (seems like I've ALWAYS had two jobs going
As that came to an end I was writing for a country music magazine in KC that eventually landed me in Nashville and a job as a fan club administrator. When that ended it was back to staffing. As is many times in our lives it was but a brief break to get back on my feet in the right direction.
Believing you get no where standing still and the only person that stands in the way of your dreams is you, I've decided to make a change back to where I feel I belong or at least stand a chance of getting there with the help of those who believe I have something to offer. I enjoy writing, scrapbooking and geneology and just wish there was more time for all those things! But with the new year, all things will be possible. Believing is what I do best; in the love of God and family, in friends who work hard for their dreams and believe as much in your dreams as their own; in the innocense of a child and in Santa Claus - with faith in things not seen and believing all things are possible.Music should strike fire from the heart of man, and bring tears from the eyes of woman. ~ Ludwig Van BeethovenExtended Network Banner made with MyBannerMaker.com! My Interests

I'd like to meet:

The best piece of truth...I don't need a long list of friends, but a few GOOD friends I can count on, who I believe in and who believe in me. Acquaintances come and go, true friends last a life time and you can count most of them on one hand. My life is blessed to have many more than that.
You don't develop courage by being happy in your relationships everyday. You develop it by surviving difficult times and challenging adversity. Epicurus
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. Dr. Seuss
It is not so much our friends' help that helps us as the confident knowledge that they will help us. Epicurus

Music:

..
The 60s - from Bread, The Association, Tommy James and the Shondells, Three Dog Night to black lights and "the dirty dog" The 70s - The Doobies, The Eagles (and yes I was at the first, last concert - The Long Run Tour), Linda Rondstadt, Kenny Loggins The 80s - oh my gosh I survived disco AND the Urban Cowboy era! Dan Fogelberg, more of the late 70s.... Country Music from the 90's on...primarily Dad loved the old school country of Willie, Johnny, Charley Pride and mom preferred show tunes and Andy Williams. Somewhere they collided in swing music and dad actually went to Caine's Ballroom of Bob Wills fame. In the 90s I was not thrilled with what was on pop/rock radio and became taken with the era of the new generation of country music. I attended Fan Fair for the first time in 1993. Over the next few years I drifted into a love for the entire genre and an interest in its history. Coming from a family that had roots in Oklahoma and South Dakota farmland it was a good fit. Today I still love to go back in time, but enjoy good music with top notch lyrics. My favorite country artists and entertainers include, Tom Wurth (MySpace and www.TomWurth.com); GEORGE STRAIT, Neal McCoy, Lee Roy Parnell, Garth Brooks, John Berry, Restless Heart, Wynonna, Kenny Rogers, Billy Dean, Brooks and Dunn (LOVE Believe!), Vince Gill, Pam Tillis, Gary Allen, Thrasher Shiver, Jon Randall, Little Big Town.

Movies:

Life is a movie. Close your eyes and imagine. Always dream in color. Life is too short, so savor every moment. When you lose someone you love you know just how short it can be so take advantage of every moment and spend it with people who enrich your life and make it better. TAKE A RIDE ON A LUGGAGE CART NOW AND THEN!!! And, if you're going to take the ride make sure a good friend is pushing and two are standing by to catch you when you fall....LOL Personal Philosophy

Heroes:

My Mother will forever be my hero. She was a teacher, a motivator and kept you grounded. She believed in being happy where you were planted, but always looking upward on onward.(Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for. Epicurus)
My friends are my heroes. I can't imagine my life without them!

The Lives of Nine Cats

In 1990 my darling LYNX came into my life and was the best friend around. How many friends do you have that not only love you unconditionally, but expect little from you AND don't talk back...LOL Ever...
