Let me be the first to warn you....I talk ALOT and am rarely at a loss for words (in other words, this will be long!!)!! So if you have a lot of time on your hands right now and want to know me and what I'm about, read on....if you don't want to know me, why have you even made it this far??? Seriously!!! If you do want to know me but are suffering from ADD or just find my writing incredibly boring, feel free to IM me or send me a message...I'm friendly!
Anyway, my name is JoAnna (or Stargazer as most internet friends know me as). I'm a 29 year old New Yorker now living in North Carolina with my husband and daughter (Yes boys, I'm married...and as flattering as you think it may be, have a little respect for my marriage and keep your sexual comments to yourself - If you wouldn't want a guy saying it to your girlfriend or wife, don't say it to me. Girls however can message me whatever they want...they are much less offensive! lol). Also in my house is my rottweiler, Dante, who weighs more than I do but is still my baby, my chow mix Cody, and my cat CoCo. Most of my family and friends are in NY, PA, and NJ and I miss them all so much. My family and friends mean more to me than anything else. One day I hope to move back that way but it just doesn't seem to be happening right now!!
My biggest obsession is music although I have no musical talent. I just like to listen to it....in fact, my life pretty much revolves around it....it's what keeps me sane! I never go anywhere without my iPod. Seriously, I am am more likely to walk out of the house without my keys than without my iPod! I could go and list all my favorite bands but that would kind of defeat the purpose of that little block on the left!!! I never tire of going to concerts. If I could go to one every day I would. If I really like the band, I will see them every time they are in town whether they change the setlist or not. I like to be right in the pit (not in seats!!!), squished between dozens of people like a bunch of sardines in a can, preferably up against the stage barrier so that I am close enough to see the band sweat. If its an awesome band, I really get into the music and will most likely be jumping around, headbanging, screaming, and pouding my fists in the air instead of just standing around watching. I also love to wait around after the show to tell the bands they kicked ass!
I think bands that meet their fans after shows are way cooler than bands that don't (so far Suicide City has been the best at this!!! Kill Hannah, Strata, Lacuna Coil, Aiden, and Echovalve are close behind them. Reggie and the Full Effect was the worst so far!!!!!) - it really shows they appreciate the support of their fans and that makes a big difference in how much I'm going to promote you (so to all the bands I have met, thank you! It means more to me than you know and you will always have my full support in everything you do!).
Some random info and likes - I like to read but mostly only horror or vamire novels....and occasionally I like crime investigation books and medieval fantasy books. I write poetry....dark poetry. Ironically enough I'm a very happy and positive person....I just prefer dark writings. I really don't know why but happy poems bore me. Edgar Allen Poe is my favorite poet (bet you didn't see that one coming..lol). I'm a sucker for a good (or even bad!) horror movie....LOVE them!! I also love vampires and anything associated with them, Jack Skellington, tattoos and piercings, boys that wear makeup, dark art even though I have no artistic abilities (Luis Royo and Joseph Vargo enthrall me), morbid / bloody photography, morphine IV's, magicians / illusionists, watching lightning storms from a car, sunsets (especially in the fall and winter), dragons, gay or feminine men, walking in the rain (but only if its a warm rain!), Living Dead Dolls, animals, people who are unique and not afraid to be themselves, pretty blue drinks, fairies, origami, boobs, showers so hot they make your skin red, reptiles, and lots of other things that I can't think of at the moment. I love the Beach (especially Sunset Beach, NC) and I wish I could be there all the time....but I don't go in the ocean past my waist because I am afraid of sharks (give me a pool to swim in any day!!). I can be VERY sarcastic sometimes! I love when people play with my hair. Its almost as nice as having my back rubbed / scratched! I have a major sweet tooth...I would rather eat cookies, ice cream, and chocolate (Cadbury is the best chocolate ever) than real food. I eat alot of cereal too...even for dinner. Peanut Butter Cap'N Crunch is my favorite. I like Hot Topic and don't care if you think that makes me a poser or whatever. I wear what I like and don't care whether its trendy or unique. I am a firm believer in Karma and what goes around comes around. My Chinese Zodiac sign is a dragon and my element is fire...and they are both me all the way! My Astrological Zodiac sign is Sagitarius but I don't really follow those horoscopes. I don't think I could live without accupuncture....its the only thing that keeps my vicious migraines away. And there's just something incredibly hot about laying on a table with 30+ needles sticking out of your body!! I don't seek revenge or hold grudges because I know if you've wronged me, you'll get yours later and I don't need to stoop to your level. I treat others how I want to be treated and I always try to find the good in people. I don't think violence solves anything. I think Nightmare is THE BEST board game ever invented! I have grown quite fond of my PS2, developing an extreme addiction to Silent Hill (or any other game with ZOMBIES!), Guitar Hero (yeah baby!!!), God of War, Kingdom Hearts, Soul Caliber 3, and DDR (but don't tell anyone about that last one...its kinda embarassing). I used to watch wrestling religiously but it got kinda boring after converting to WWE. Now I only watch it if I see Jeff Hardy or Shannon Moore, or the small handful of others that amuse me. I work out every day but I am very picky to what I work out to and I don't go to gyms - I only do Billy Blanks Tae Bo and Bootcamp, Carmen Electra's Aerobic Striptease, Windsor Pilates, or Gunnar Peterson's Core Secrets. I don't bite my nails but I do have this disgusting habit of peeling the skin around my nails until my fingers bleed. I cry when I see other people cry. I never make my bed...I don't see the point since I'm gonna sleep in it again later in the day. I do however pull all the blankets and sheets off every night before I go to bed and put them back on perfectly. I MUST sleep with a pillow between my legs because I freak out if my knees touch each other. I have my bartending liscence although I already have 2 jobs and probably can't handle a 3rd so I don't know if I'll ever use it. I do practice regularly at home though! No, I'm not a lush but I do like the occasional cocktail at night when I'm winding down!! I don't drink beer unless its Killian's Red (preferably on tap) or Coors Light!!! I do love liquor though - Black Haus, Captain Morgan, Southern Comfort, Chocolate Vodka, and Hpnotiq are my favorites....and most mixed drinks made with rum or vodka.
Some random rants - I don't like negativity, arrogance, rap or country music, Paris Hilton (she makes me gag for some reason), Spongebob (his voice makes my skin crawl), chain letters, politics, rude or mean people, social labels, or people that cut in front of you on the road only to travel at half the speed you were traveling at! I am SOOOO NOT a morning person...in fact, my alarm clock is my worst enemy. I despise mornings and wish I could sleep through them everyday. I don't like people that judge others when they don't even know them. I don't like being branded an attention whore because I happen to have a decent body, wear clothes that show it, and have sexy pics in my profile....but I will suck up the stereotypes and judgemental comments before I will change myself. I hate how some people only think its cool to listen to underground bands. It irks the shit out of me to hear someone say they love a band until they got "mainstream" or "sold out". Either you like the music or you don't. You don't just stop liking someone's music because everyone else started liking it. That's silly. If you're going to stop listening to a band just because they aren't obscure enough for you, then you probably weren't a real fan to begin with. I keep 4 betta fish on my desk at work so I have something nice to look at when I'm on the phone with someone annoying. But I hate it when I take the cover off to feed them and one jumps out and then I have to pick it up with my hands....eeeew. I'm terrified of spiders, cornfields, clowns, the creepy king from the Burger King commercials, and being alone in the dark. I'm not afraid of dying but I am afraid of getting old.
I think the sexiest man alive is Marilyn Manson.....followed VERY closely by all the boys of Suicide City, Jay of As Summer Dies, Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance, Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance, all the boys of Kill Hannah, Jimmy Urine of Mindless Self Indulgence, Carl Scalici, Gary Numan, The Dro of Deadstar Assembly, wiL of Aiden, and Eric Victorino of Strata! Some other sexy men are Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth, Criss Angel, all the boys in Echovalve, Wentworth Miller, Jared and Shannon Leto of 30 Seconds to Mars, Jeff Hardy, and Shannon Moore. If you check out any band on my profile, make it this one!!!! It doesn't get any more intense than Suicide City!! Their music is pure psychotic energy!!! And these guys (and girl!!) are some of the coolest people I have ever met in my life. In fact, I don't think I have ever had so much fun at a concert before as I did the two times I've seen them.
