"THE PROJECT L-ROCK THE BEGINNING"Here's how it all began at age seven. I don't know why people make statements like, I began singing at the age of 4 yrs old. No one can do anything at ages 2-5 except Poop sleep, and hurt themselves. So I'll be realistic, at those ages i banged on anything that made noise, I tried to make it organized. I come from a Interracial Family, a Jamaican father with a short temper and a bad attitude. A half American Indian, and half Japanese Mother, that would take a bullet, and eat broken glass for her 3 beautiful children. I first developed noticeable talent in the 3rd grade.I would perform for my classes, using home room built drum sets. I would make this happen by placing chairs together in a half circle, and play them with my hands while singing songs at the same time. At first it was a good way to entertain during free time. Then it turned into a great way to become the focal point of my school, while making good friends. I joined 6th grade choir, while in middle school. I sang one day the first day of class, and was promoted up to 8th grade chorus, because my vocals were just to advanced for others my age. This was a good thing, because your able to compete. At this point i began going to contest and winning first place, believe it or not, and i was just a baby. I loved crushing the competition doing something i felt came so natural. I grew up in a very talented home.My heavy handed Father was a deacon at our church. He would play the organ, my sister on piano, and myself on drums, while my big brother spanked the bass. All of this would take place in a small town Baptist Church. For all of you who can't picture it, try this. A hundred and fifty person choir, with all the trimmings, everybody seemed to be power house Gospel singers, with skills. So just imagine my little 10 year old self playing a big boys professional Ludwig set. My feet were barely able to touch the high hat, and bass drum pedals most of the time, but i would bring it with the best of them. At age thirteen i began composing my own songs, lyrics and all using a Casio keyboard, and Roland hand held drum machine. Music was then and still is my life.I have been writing and composing music, playing multiple instruments all of my life. I love all forms of music, Hip Hop, Rock, Jazz, Classical, and even every now and then some country. The reason is every art form has something to offer. You just need to find out what you can use from each, and how it can better yet benefit your style. Just think about it like this, Bruce Lee was the best martial artist in the world, and how did he become this way. He simply studied every form, and kept all of the strong points, and did away with the weak ones of each form. Thus in the end, his own style was born.This is the way i see music, so at the end of the day, i not only know many styles of music, but i also know how to use many techniques, to get what i want out of them. I can't say anything other than, I am truly blessed. I feel there is no song i can't write, no beat i can't flip, you just name the style, and the tempo then consider it done!. They say by the grace of God all things are possible, and it is from the divine spirit from which my talents flow. So I hope all of this let's YOU my MY-SPACE friends know who i am, and what I'm about.
