A Casual Observer

There is no mystery in life worth solving that cannot be solved.

About Me

I'm unique. JUST LIKE ALL OF YOU. Except I am more uniquer :-P
Cogito cogito ergo cogito sum (I think that I think, therefore I think that I am.) Ambrose Bierce, The Devil's Dictionary
I'm a nice guy determined not to finish last.
I'm a nerd and not in the trendy myspace kind of way. I simply enjoy certain things that are not vastly appealing. I also don't mind the company of other nerds. One thing I worry about is nerdy elitism. I try to avoid the "my anime is better than your miniatures collection" stuff. I think nerds should get along with each other and non-nerds.
I, like anyone else, am a lot more than any one thousand characters could describe, but I am convinced I am worth knowing. For the purposes of this myspace-biography, I should note that I feel everything is worth considering from it's own perspective and a lot more in life is worth learning than some people realize.

My Interests

I like looking at things with fresh perspectives. I like self-improvement. I like team competition. I like helping people by using my own strengths. I wish I could play chess more often. I enjoy poker as a substitute. I want to go back to school, if not for any reason other than to never stop learning. I enjoy long conversations that ramble between topics.

I'd like to meet:

People who value their own identity more than someone else's imagery.
"I don't want a pretty face to tell me pretty lies." - Billy Joel
Why sell yourself for somebody who can't buy themself?
Do you see my friends list cluttered by slutty, ignorant, immature, shallow, overly obsessive or all-around unsavory people? Do you see me top-listing a harem of barely 18 mirror portraiters in training bras and lip-gloss? Do you see me as somebody who has that lifestyle? I don't think you see yourself that way either. If you have a good heart and the time to be a friend, I'd love to have you as one.
I like it when people challenge me. I like assertive people who are not afraid to suggest that I am wrong. I like people who will give specific criticism even better, of course this all requires paying attention.
The whole idea of identifying who I want to meet is odd, because really all I want to do is know people and meetng is only the first step. While I'd like to meet people worth knowing, I'd sooner skip the meeting and start with the living as friends.
