Ruslan Pantaev

I’m Ruslan Pantaev. I was born and grew up in Ulan Ude, Siberia with my grandparents. I moved to the States at age six and began school right away. It was great to be back with my parents. My grandfather is and was a composer all his life, dedicating more than forty years to Ulan Ude’s drama theater. As I grew up, I always remember seeing him work late at night, writing away on music which eventually piled up into stacks of paper... He was, I suppose my greatest influence without me knowing it. Then my parents of course were the ones that made me go to the Third st. music school in ny when I was around eight. I was never too serious until High School (Bard HS Early College). But then I freaked out at the possibilities of music and I started to practice as much as I could!I attend Boston’s Berklee College of Music for film scoring. Let’s see, finally I love and play my David Thomas Mcnaught "Phoenix" incessantly and sleep with it and .... ok..take care,RP.
