Oh...but these stories...

About Me

There's not much in life that comes close to making a movie. It's a process that works for everyone who wants to be a film maker, even if they don't know exactly what it takes to be successful. I suppose that's true about most things in life--you're never completely successful unless you throw yourself into it--but making movies takes something really special. Determination, the desire to work harder than you've ever done before, synergy (one of my favorites, look it up), creativity. A little bit of luck if you want to make it big.
Not everyone finishes the job, but they usually get enough out of the journey to say it's a great profession. Unfortunately, it's hard for those halfway there to stay employed. The business thrives on overachievers.
I'm a screenwiter and independent filmmaker who got started watching Saturday afternoon horror movies on TV. I love the old flicks, no matter how cheap they look. I love the process of making movies, working with a group to bring something special to life. Most of all, I like getting into the heads of actors, screwing with them just enough to get their very best onscreen.

My Interests

CURRENTLY IN-PRODUCTION
The Devil's Bridge
In pre-production, script development A 25-minute short film scheduled for shooting in Sedona, Arizona. The story of three brothers who journey through the high deserts of Arizona, carrying out a mission for their father.

Finishing the script for a short horror film that should be shooting in late-Summer 2009, somewhere in the foothills of North Carolina. The film is entitled 'Cicada' and is about a lone drifter who becomes a farmhand for a widow and her daughter, helping them bring in the year's harvest. Little by little, piece by piece, he discovers the widow's secret for keeping the crops fertile and the gods happy.
