Russ Gold

Born in DC. Lived in Long Island, Miami, Boston, San Diego, Santa Cruz, sequentially. Now loving me some San Francisco. Picked up the drums at 12. Graduated Berklee Music in '84. Studied with Alan Dawson, Gary Chaffee, Bob Moses, Danny Perez, John Ryley, Dave Garibaldi. I was signed to CBS for about 5 years with group called Full Circle. In '92 was up for 2 Grammy nominations simultaneously (Nando Lauria and Natraj). I was super lucky to travel the world with "The King Stag", a show written by Julie Taymore pre Lion King. Now I'm freelancing, teaching, doing theater. Pretty spread out and loving it.
