I like: drinking - my tipple is a nice pint of Fosters or a vodka lime and lemonade, whatever I fancy at the time - no alcopops mind you, I'm not 13! Reading freshly printed books and also the dog-earred old ones...drinking tea/coffee with a friend, having food cooked for me, (not too keen on cooking for other people, call me selfish) watching fabulous fillums, watching documentaries on interesting and relevant issues, walking whilst listening to my iPod, men who hold doors open for you, playing pool! (I did win a game once - hahaa! in your face, Jacquie!) playing my jazzmaster, listening to music whilst in the bath, having mornings to myself...
These things I do not like: Xmas is a bit shit, people who can't spell - I don't care about the odd word, but when it becomes illegible, that does my head in!!! working - for employers and for school, waiting around for a soundcheck, unflattering photos, hygiene; here I have a major issue. If you know me, you know I do not touch door handles in public, I'd rather fall over than grab the pole on the bus, the warm air and condensation on a bus in cold weather makes me feel ill, people who try and cram that last pram on the bus, then realise it won't fit and give up after about half an hour of kerfuffling, bus drivers who turn up half an hour late and then act as if they are doing you a favour by letting you on, demanding to see your pass as if you are a terror suspect, butchers! I nearly vomit when I pass a butchers - the smell, the colours, the hanging flesh....kids who hang around outside shops trying to get you to buy them cigs, kids who push the buttons on cashpoints for fun and cause a queue, people who walk through a door you opened for yourself, celebrity culture - instant fame thrust upon dull and stupid people, elaborate talent shows that get far to much air, the generic indie band appearing throughout the charts week in, week out, recycled, regurgitated songs written by people who put on a strong northern accent or colloquialism - Jamie T, Kate Nash etc...I'm in the ad people. Devotion. (....the one holding the italian-esque t-shirt out)
