I am here for Friends

About Me

I am very chatty. I like to wear monochromatic outfits- all black and all white especially. The fingerpads on my right hand are permanently scarred from a bout with some nasty toxic chalk. I am a cat person. And I sing in the shower.

My Interests

Dancing, playing the piano. Reading and writing. Laughing deeply. Learning to play bridge.

I'd like to meet:

Gilda Radner said: "I can always be distracted by love, but eventually I get horny for my creativity." I think that sounds about right. So I guess I'd like to meet a muse, my muse, who will keep me perpetually satisfied.

Music:

Built to Spill, the Flaming Lips, Outkast, Cake, Blur, Cabrel, Jurassic 5, Portishead, Radiohead, Medeski Martin & Wood, Prince, Phish, B-dancing music, Ani D, Bjork, the song "common people," Electronica, the Romantic and Impressionistic eras in general but Debussy wins.

Heroes:

Dangermouse!

Monochromatic outfits

A reader recently requested that I expound on my taste for monochroma in fashion. This is what I drunkenly wrote back: "My affinity toward monochromatic couture stems from a love for the pure and ...

Bungle in the Jungle

Yes, that's what I'll be doing for Valentine's Day. In the Amazon. "I'm a tiger when I want love, I'm a snake if you disagree." Ah, Jethro Tull, I love you. Actually, I won't be doing anything ...

Public Bathroom Stall Vandalism

Public Bathroom Stall-Wall Vandalism: not unlike journal writing on myspace.com. Except that people sitting on the pot are usually compelled to read what you have to say, out need for distraction. Mo...

Blogger-in-training

Yes, my journal entries are turning into a daily ritual. I have written in a journal since I was 14, and I've decided that ten years later, it's time for me to enter the semi-private (because I won't...

"When they discover the center of the universe, a lot of people will be disappointed to discover they are not it."

In other words, Touche. I did not mean to come off as conceited or hostile to myspace surfers in my last journal entry, I am just overwhelmed by the insta-friend culture of this particular online com...
