A few pictures from my trip to Uganda and Rwanda:

La La La La La La La. Life is strange...la la la. Is it Christmas yet?!?!?! Darn! Anywho, I am VERY VERY VERY ready for next May. I have ZERO idea what I can going to do with my life at that point, but hopefully I will have a plan by then. Right now I am working at a local high school. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my kids, but I HATE HATE HATE the job itself! I don't mind doing paperwork and going to meetings when there is some inkling of purpose present, but I have yet to find any with 95% of the stuff I am supposed to be doing. Can someone tell me why my kids need to know the plot of Of Mice and Men or how to describe the characteristics of a place by its geographical features...when they can't even bathe themselves...or make themselves a simple snack without guidance and prompting?? Anyone?!?! Why can't I spend my time doing something beneficial for my kids? Why can't I spend all of my time teaching them things that will help them function in society? Cutting through the governmental red tape has stressed me out so much that I have had to purchase antidepressants. I hate to leave at the end of the year because I really do love my kids, but I don't think I can physically or emotionally handle the other 1/2 of the job. Like I said, I don't know where I'll go from here...but I hope to wind up in a position that allows me to make a real difference in the world. Ultimately, I would like to host an animal themed travel show...and use the money that I make from the show to support charity organizations (children with special needs, animals facing extiction, etc.). Until then, I guess I will just keep traveling and seeing as much of the world as I can. Being in new places and exposing myself to different cultures brings me back to reality...and it keeps me going. As for my next trip, I have GOT to get to Antarctica! I may also sneak in Borneo, though. Those are the top 2 on my list! Well, I guess I should get back to napping. The insanity starts all over again tomorrow :( Thank goodness for Josh. If it weren't for him reminding me that everything will work out, I don't know what I would do! MWA!! Thanks for reading this far...have a WONDERFUL week!! :)
