My Interests

Costume history, glamour photography, anything Retro especially print ad, pin-ups and burlesque of this era. I love MERMAIDS, I love to draw, and mural paint. I love to dance, I love SWIM, love kids (especially my two charges), minature Dachshunds, music of all kinds, and I LOVE TO SNUGGLE!!!!!!

Old Blues and Jazz, Motown, "Oldies", Aerosmith, Kid Rock, Mariah Carey, Sheryl Crow, Lisa Loeb. I like a lot of new rock, pop, hip hop, but love a lot of older songs. Love the heroes: Marvin Gaye, The Supremes, Minnie Riperton, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Frank Sinatra....and could listen to Judy Garland sing any minute of the day!

Movies:

Alright, you ready? I have lots of favorite movies: Fried Green Tomatoes, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Splash, How to Make and American Quilt, Steel Magnolias, Benny and Joon, Edward Scissorhands, The Little Mermaid, Riding in Cars with Boys, Pulp Fiction, American History X, Forrest Gump, Gone with the Wind, Blow, The Notebook, Crash. I like most films done in period, drama with intelligence....meaningful messages.

Books:

I love books on costume history, womens history, vintage Playboy, old Hollywood. As for readers: Memoirs of a Gesiha, The Rapture of Cannon, The Nanny Diaries, To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favorites! I love historical fiction...any recommendations?
