I know who I am, salt & light, an ambassador for Christ, a daughter of the most high God, filled and sealed with the Holy Spirit. This profile is not so that I can find myself through the perception of others so please do not try to convince me to be who you think I am. I've been blessed with a handful of true friends. You know who you are (mainly because I tell you all the time)! Some of you are saved and others have yet to be saved, but know that you are constantly in my prayers. I love you both the same. I am so thankful for my family for putting up with me when I didn't know my left from my right and loving me through it all. Jesus Christ is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I know that He is real by the supernatural changes that I have seen Him work in my life and that of my mother, my dearest friends, my enemies and the seemingly hopeless from high school (never lose hope). Things that I've learned about God are... He seldom answers your prayers in the way that you would expect or when you would like. But God does answer prayers in time for His glory to be revealed. He uses the situations that appear to be impossible to demonstrate to both believers and non-believers that He is in all places, He sees all things and He loves each one of us unconditionally. We choose to either write those demonstrations off as coincidental or miraculous. He is not surprised by the mistakes that we make. He knows the beginning from the end. The only people who are surprised at when we make mistakes are: (1) ourselves (as if we were perfect or could never do something like THAT) and (2) people on the outside looking in (as if they have arrived or their sin is somehow cuter than ours). Sin is sin; it’s missing the mark. God sees it all the same. The only difference between a believer and a non-believer is that the believer has accepted the knowledge of what Jesus Christ has done on the cross as their pardon from the penalty of sin (death), has professed Jesus Christ as their Lord & Savior, and is not afraid to go to God for forgiveness of sin on a routine basis. As a believer, WHEN you mess up (not if), you waste time if you choose to wallow in self-pity. Confess it to God, repent (change your mind about that thing) and GET OVER IT! It's that simple. Don’t allow anything to come between you and God. Lastly, I'm a real person. I have my good days as well as my bad ones. No matter what is going on the world, I am convinced that God is sovereign and EVERYTHING that happens in my life is working for my good. I enjoy listening to many genres of music by artists like J. Holiday, Alicia Keys, Robin Thicke, Marvin Gaye, Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake, Jill Scott, Bryram Joseph, Musiq Soulchild, Maroon 5, Maxwell and all the rest. I also enjoy music by Deitrick Haddon, Tye Tribbett, Will Bonds & IOP, Fred Hammond, Lecrae, Group 1 Crew, Myron Butler & Levi, Lisa McClendon, Kirk Franklin, Out of Eden, Micah Stampley, and I can't leave out J .Moss. I enjoy salsa & meringue dancing, playing pool, listening to spoken word, international dining, taking pictures, road trips, serving at my church on Sundays, singing (in my car, house or from the pew), absorbing my mother's wisdom on anything, talking with my father about my future and his expectations for me.
