I'm an island girl in the desert. I've spent the remembered part of my life going back and forth between Las Vegas & Guam, living in one place or the other almost my entire life. I moved to Carson City in 2004 from Las Vegas. I was looking for "something different" and ended up meeting the love of my life at the first job I took in Reno. Wonderful how fate works...
I've been married just over a year, and if there is one thing I've learned in this time with my husband, it is that relationships are such a paradox. We show each other things that we dont show other people let each other into the vulnerable parts of ourselves but at the same time, we're still getting to know each other, learning how to communicate effectively, learning how to be less selfish and give more to the other always striving for the perfect love. I am just so happy that I have FINALLY found my soul mate... the one I want to share my whole world with.
No kiddies in the works yet, though I am beginning to feel my clock ticking. I definitely WANT kids, but I am actually grateful that my husband & I are being given this opportunity to just be with each other for right now. Besides, I need to deal with an OB/GYN if I even have a chance of making babies... and it isn't like I'd want to raise kids in this redneck hell-hole anyway.
Right now I am working on getting my insurance license. I already have my first professional designation, and once I have my license, I can go practically anywhere and find a place to work. I don't think this is what I want to do for the rest of my life, but it does keep the doors open and the bills paid for us wherever we may roam.
We are hoping to relocate to Sacramento in the tangible future. Jason is from there, so it will be an opportunity for him that we can't pass up.

I guess you could say I am a true Libra. I definitely need balance in my life. I'm dedicated to my job but also know that time should be set aside just for fun. I write. For some time now, I have wanted to continue toward my degree in Journalism and hope to eventually write a syndicated column. I'm forever on a quest for knowledge. In the meantime, I just want to be like Martha Stewart - an interior decorating, cooking and baking, arts-and-crafts machine (this might work if only I could break my habit of leaving dirty clothes everywhere). Oh yeah... and a millionaire! I whole-heartedly stand by my man (this includes quizzing him on random baseball facts to keep his mind sharp). I love to be pampered. And I hope that one day my life will consist of traveling all over the world and spending relaxing days with Jason. All this, of course, AFTER raising beautiful, talented, and successful children.
