OK-- Now About Me:
A bare bones description of me: I'm REAL. What you see is what you get--guaranteed you will never get fake-ness from me whether I know you or not. Other qualities that collide and fuse to become the one and only--Kim: I have been a fighter since birth (I was born 2 months early) and nobody can tell me I can't do something--if I am limited in any way I find it out on my own, Functionally hard of hearing, stubborn but willing to hear all sides, Half Cuban/Half Irish-Danish and extremely proud of my heritage and knowing where I come from, a "people person" who holds friends and family at the highest spot of importance in life, I love to laugh until every muscle in my body hurts, a cuddler/touchy-feely type--I love giving hugs, really really short but I got mad personality, witty and outspoken after I get to know you but quiet and reserved around strangers, not necessarily vocal but constantly "aware" of what is going on, a believer that your thoughts words and actions DO hold weight in the universe, a habitually out-of-the-box thinker, a fountain of useless knowledge and bizarre facts, undisputed champion napper, a hopless romantic, a self-professed 'rhythm junkie,' a notorious perfectionist, a textbook pisces, a little bit ADD....banana..., drawn to shoes, hats, purses, vibrant patterns and soft fabrics like a magpie to something shiny, adventurous and a shopping fiend but a perfect balance between a girly girl and a tomboy...most noteable for being tiny, a little fragile, a little delicate, but also tough as nails when I need to be. That's just scratching the surface, but you get the idea. Currently I am a college graduate in Socio-cultural Anthropology and dance, going back to college. I have been a dancer and a gymnast since I was 3 years old and it will always be a part of my life.I will probably dance, body permitting, until the day I die. The latest endeavor is breakdancing. I like to think of myself as a b-girl in training, but am NOT prodigious and NOT a force to be reckoned with...yet.I am giving it a little time. I like to call the whole experience "Falling on my face with purpose" "Bruising myself in obscure places and thinkin' its awesome" or "Being painfully aware of the shortcomings of my own body" as I have a lot to learn! I love how challenging it is, and at some point, I know my body and brain will reach an agreement and I will start to get it! My goal is to be average at it. I am primarily a lyrical/contemporary dancer but I have taken classes in, and appreciate pretty much every form of dance I can think of. Some of my favorite activities include singing, desigining tattoos, art painting and drawing in general, fiddling around with writing poetry/spoken word, but not having the skills necessary to be 'technically good at it,' reading, snowboarding, surfing, yoga and running (I run A LOT, and while some people consider it to be punishment, I find peace in it and it really centers me). I also Love to travel and see new places/meet new people, and also love to learn and explore new things to both expand my world view, and to find little things to be inspired by. I lived in Australia for a while 4 years ago and FELL IN LOVE with that country. I also have a somewhat lofty goal to hit all of the continents (with the exception of Antarctica) before I turn 30.
