Writing...writing during thunderstorms, perfect sunsets, days spent on the beach or lake that result in you feeling deliciously drained, theater...both attending and being upon the stage, reading, art, shared drunken tales with my friends, adventure, obsessing over the Cardinals and Rams, Bellinis, Margaritas, and European hot chocolate.
Any and everyone...as long as they're interesting. The boring need not apply

I think anytime you grow up relatively sane with a pleasant family life, your parents have to be at the top of your list of heroes. Then comes my Grandmother Pauline, who was a modern woman long before there was even that notion. My Great-Uncle Jim has always been my hero--perhaps it's because our personalities are so similar that I'm more apt to take advice from him. He's always been such an inspiration to me and probably the person I'd most like to pattern my own life after. There are so many people in the worlds of art, literature, sports, and history whom I admire, but I don't believe I could ever call any of them heroes... But, I do admire Michelangelo, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde, Alfred Hitchcock, Stan Musial, and Bob Gibson a great deal.
