Roar BIG, roar little...just roar

About Me

Och, I can ramble on and on until these "about me" sections. Let's see...I own and run a ladies' clothing store and as anyone who has ever run their own business knows, it becomes your life--Signed, Sealed, Delivered, you're theirs. I aspire to be able to write (my true love) full-time someday and live my life flitting around from one adventure to the next. I mean, shouldn't that be what life is--an adventure? So, yeah, the writing, adventure, and possibly a really nice Venetian Palazzo where I can sip Bellinis all day, and hey, I'd be a happy girl.

You Are an Orange Martini
Everyone's favorite drunk, you're fun, flirty, and charming.
Unfortunately, you often spark jealousy - and unintentionally start bar fights.
You should never: Drink and dial. You'll just end up with multiple booty calls at your door!
Your ideal party: Is huge and lively. You love to work a crowd.
Your drinking soulmates: those with a Blueberry Martini personality
Your drinking rivals: those with a Dirty Martini personality What Flavor Martini Are You?

My Interests

Writing...writing during thunderstorms, perfect sunsets, days spent on the beach or lake that result in you feeling deliciously drained, theater...both attending and being upon the stage, reading, art, shared drunken tales with my friends, adventure, obsessing over the Cardinals and Rams, Bellinis, Margaritas, and European hot chocolate.

Books:

Favorites: Gone with the Wind, To Kill a Mockingbird, Huckleberry Finn, Anything by Dr. Seuss (No, I'm not kidding--Dr. Seuss is Brilliant!) and anything by Anais Nin.

Heroes:

I think anytime you grow up relatively sane with a pleasant family life, your parents have to be at the top of your list of heroes. Then comes my Grandmother Pauline, who was a modern woman long before there was even that notion. My Great-Uncle Jim has always been my hero--perhaps it's because our personalities are so similar that I'm more apt to take advice from him. He's always been such an inspiration to me and probably the person I'd most like to pattern my own life after. There are so many people in the worlds of art, literature, sports, and history whom I admire, but I don't believe I could ever call any of them heroes... But, I do admire Michelangelo, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde, Alfred Hitchcock, Stan Musial, and Bob Gibson a great deal.
