Larry White started learning guitar, piano and drums at the age of 8 around 1978 inspired by Boston guitarist Tom Scholz. In 2005 after 15 years out of the music scene is coming back as a solo guitar artist. Played in several bands in the late 80's and early 90's. Larry started recording music again in November of 2005 for a demo cd called "Final Cut" and finished the first song in January of 2006 called Spiritual Blues that was actually written in 1992 and never before recorded since the last band he was in split up in 1992. About one third of the cd was complete in May 2007, but on May 12, 2007 Larry was in an accident at the auto repair shop where he worked when he was hit by a truck at a high speed head on and slammed into the wall behind him leaving his right hand paralyzed. After surgery to regain mobility and months of intense rehabilitation he has gained 40% of the mobility back and can once again play his guitar, but may never play drums again. But the backing tracks are made with electronic computer generated drums anyway. By October 2007 recording started again and the cd was finally completed in December 2007 and was released as a free demo cd called "Final Cut" in January 2008. Another cd is in the works now and is not a demo. Larry White uses Gibson electric guitars, Alpine and Yamaha acoustic guitars, Digitech and BOSS effects as well as some very highly modified spaceship and wind effects, Marshall Amps, Peavey Amps, self made guitar effects, and no synthesizers.I am on Instant messenger MSN [email protected] ... My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Larry White - Some Vocals (not all), Lead, harmony and rythym guitars, acoustic guitars and electric guitar effects, pedal effects, space ship and rocket launch effects (all made from a guitar), drums, bass, all keybords - strings, pipe organs, piano. No synthesizers are usedDeath of The Texas Cyclone

Influences: Main influence is Tom Scholz, the mastermind of the band Boston. Tom created and trademarked the Boston guitar sound by developing the sound and guitar effects. He also developed the Rockman guitar amplifier and effects and has the most awesome sound . Tom is the only guitarist that I know can make a guitar sound like a rocket ship launching, and he does not use any synthesizers in his recordings or on stage, all effects come from his guitar, pipe organ, piano, and organ and a modified echoplex. Other influences are: Brad Delp of Boston, Robert Johnson, Chuck Berry, James Young, Tommy Shaw, Tony Iomi, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Vaughn, George Thorogood, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Henry Garza, Carlos Cavazos, Alex Lifeson, Geddy Lee, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Paige, Eric Johnson, David Gilmore, Sammy Hagar, Eddie Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, Steve Vai, Arlon Roth, Rik Emmett, Yngwie Malmstein, Randy Rhodes, Angus Young, Steve Clark, Joe Satriani, Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Neal Schon, Carlos Santana, B.B. King, Tom Scholz, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, Jerry Garcia, Jake E. Lee, Zak Wylde, Rick Nielson, Phil Collen, Ted Nugent, Ritchie Blackmore and many many more I will list when I think of them.
Sounds Like: A little touch of Boston but, I try to make my own style
