About Me

It's weird to see yourself on TV! But so super fun. I need more. More. MORE! No, I don't have an addictive personality at all. Why? What did you hear?

Howdy Folks! So it's up on Food Network's website: The Cooking Loft . Watch all the videos, including the "About Ryan" video, unless you don't like me, in which case what the hell are you doing on my MySpace page? If you go to the More Videos thingy and then click over to the second page, you'll see it. I look silly like a goose, but whatevz - I get to be on TV, bitches. Anyhoo, loads of fun. XOs all around. Also, update on time: They moved it to 9:30am, Saturday, August 30th. Gross, I know, but whatcha gonna do?
August 31st, folks, August 31st. That's when the first episode of The Cooking Loft airs! I'm in only seven of the 13 episodes, so I may not be in the first to air. But whatevs. Once the little video piece on me goes up on FoodNetwork.com, I'll let y'all know. WooHoo! xo.
It's happening! Wednesday we start shooting. I'm nervous and thrilled and just oh so happy! Mind you, I'm not at all interested in actually seeing myself on television. It's like hearing your own voice - it's just WRONG. You're like, that's not my voice. Oh no, it is my voice. UGH! Yeah, it's gonna be like that. I'll be like OMG I'm a freagin' double-wide trailer! Anyhoo, so excited despite my obesity.
So it's not set yet and maybe it won't happen at all, but looks like it really might happen, in which case I will have a baby cow. Next Tuesday we're scheduled to do a test run of sorts in the Food Network test kitchen, which I've seen so many times on television that I'm hoping I won't just fall over and die. Anyhoo, just in case I do make it onto TV, well - off to the gym, folks, off to the gym. Toodles!
Today was Food Network call-back day! Really, so much fun, though I was sweating bullets during the first test run. The second was, I think I hope I pray, much better. Anyhoo, it was a blast.
OMG. I totally went to an audition at the Food Network. SO much fun. There's little else one can say.

I found a job. A pretty one. Actually, I found it a while ago, but I was a temp for a couple of centuries. New York is turning out better than I'd begun to fear it'd be.
************************
I found an apartment. A pretty one. Near a park. In a neighborhood in which I'm less likely to be mugged.

Near the end of November, two coworkers took me to Scores. Have you ever been to Scores? Oh my. And one of them paid for us to go to this balcony thing that is, I guess, the Champagne Room - um, Balcony - because three girls brought bottles of Champagne and said, "We're here to make you comfortable." I was not, as you might guess, interested in having a girl give me a lap dance. So we chatted the whole time and she gave me her number. So now I'm gonna jet, 'cause I have to call her. We're gonna be besties. Toodles.

The Redgrave sisters' remake of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane freaked me out. Seriously - that dog on a platter. There's no need in that. No need at all.

Other than that there's a world inside of this head that I'm having a hell of a time exploring. Perhaps you'd like to join me?
