After paying people a lot of money to record albums, demos and EP's for my band, Audiokarate, I decided it was time to build a studio good enough for recording our albums as well as those of others. Hence, the birth of Lady Melody Studios. My own private recording studio, hidden away in the suburbs of Montebello.
Having worked with excellent producers and engineers in the past, Bill Stevenson/Jason Livermore (Descendents, Black Flag, Rise Against, NOFX) and Trever Keith/Chad Blinman (Face to Face, Get up Kids, Moneen), I learned a lot and developed a pretty clear picture of what I'd want in a studio. I also learned what the role of a good producer/engineer is and how to help a band make the most of their time in the studio.
With Lady Melody, I can accomadate basically any type of recording but I prefer the rock and roll stuff.
I am currently looking for young bands that want to record their original songs but feel they need a bit more help in production than some long haired 40 year old tweaker can provide. Having been a principal songwriter in AK and taking the band from the garage to: a 4 album record deal, 4 Warped Tours, including the first Japanese Warped Tour, 3 world tours in 16 countries where we shared the stage with some of the biggest punk/emo/hardcore/indie bands ever, all without the help of outside management. I can help your band step it up and make the most of your music in more ways than one.

**RATES**
Rates are $100 for 6 hours M-F.
$120 for 8 hours Saturday or Sunday.
Any additional time is $15/hour.
Includes use of house kit, custom Mapex maple piece kit with Zildjian Avedis Z custom cymbals, house amps, and engineer.
A deposit of 50% is due a week in advance and is fully refundable with 24 hours notice of cancellation.
Each band member gets a CD.
