EMBOLUS Over the year’s embolus has taken many forms, Consisting of pretty much the same artists over all these years and coming from a simple background of mates jamming, Lex and Glen recorded many songs on an old tape recorder on there stereo after they began in 1992 (the original tapes still exist if anyone's keen?) composing tracks by throwing ideas together between sessions of talking shit, drinking and teenage escapades, embolus started to mutate. Teaching each other instruments and styles and as they could afford it buying new equipment (including a lefty guitar to replace the home made one they had built, but is still used religiously today more-so than the new one) The good ol 8 channel 4 track n various equipment, eventually escalated over the years in to the current line-up of -Lex Pomeroy - guitars/vocals/bass/drumsGlen K - drumsWith a solid background sound inspired by the likes of Ozzy (Lex remembers to this day he pilfered his sisters Sabbath cassette, and still has it!), and an unhealthy obsession of death metal groups, they studied the sound of groups like Death, Cannibal Corpse, Atrocity and Napalm Death to name a few, and have molded this inspiration into there own hell bound sound called Embolus. Some have described there music as an anarchist version of civil rights. and well id have to agree, An anarchist version of civil rights mixed with KY jelly.
