DJ Ampz AKA MIXALBUM AMPZ, a 22 -year old mixalbum and turntable
assassin coming strait out of Mount Vernon AKA MONEY EARNIN NY. Ampz
discovered his love for the art of deejaying at the age of 8 when he
stumbled upon his uncle D-Rock's set of technics and immediately became
mezmorized. Determined to learn what he saw Jam Master Jay doing in the
Run Dmc classic Walk this Way video featuring Aerosmith, he focused all
of his free time after school learning to mix, and scratch. Throughout
the years as he became older it became more than a hobby he would soon
turn what most of his family members considered as "making noise" into a
occupation. With numerous influences ranging from Jam Master Jay, Kid
Capri, Red Alert, Mr. Cee, Funk Flex, and Clue to name a few, he finally
created his own style of dee jaying.
After learning his craft Ampz was ready to address the public and showcase his abilities. Having hosted college campus parties in dozen of states,and some local spots up and down the eastcoast, he has generated a tremendous amount of notoriety.
With the demand to hear more and also with inspriration from the hottest
Dj's, Ampz decided to release his own mixtapes into the streets of New
York. Now with over 25 mixtapes under his belt and gaining attention
from some of the industries most notables such as Ludacris and DTP,Big
Tigger, Ed Lover, XZIBIT AND FEW MORE ...all in which have all graced his mixtapes helping Ampz take it to the next level. Unlike many others in this field of
entertainment, Ampz has a way of appealing to audiences of various ages
from young people to the older crowds, they all seem to love being
"Amplified"!!!!
After gaining local buzz in and around the New York area, Ampz has made a strong move to get to the top. Getting hook up with Xzibit and becoming his eastcoast Dj, hosting parties, shows and dropping a crazy mixalbum promoting the new "Full Circle" LP of Xzibit and also chopping it up with Mad Linx as a guest DJ on Rap City the basement...Ampz keeps adding notchs under his belt. He no longer makes mixtapes, Ampz makes mixalbums..and with those mixalbums, Ampz is getting good reviews from the power players in the industry. Scratch giving him a "hood" for his Certifed Ampz pt 5 and MTV giving him a notable on Mixtape Monday for his Who's is Ampz hosted by Ludacris and DTP...Kat Williams has also reach out to get his mixalbum done.
