My Interests

As boring as it may sound, I'm really interested in kitchen and housewares. I can spend hours in stores like Crate & Barrel or William Sonoma. I also enjoy any and everything that has to do with food. I enjoy cooking and learning cooking techniques from other people...always have. I remember being a young child and watching my grandmother (a brilliant cook) cook. Because I love food I love restaurants. I like trying new restaurants. Anything from a hole-in-the wall dive to fine dining.

I'd like to meet:

..

Music:

Whatever I like. Some favorites include Madonna, Natalie Merchant, ColdPlay, and Trick Daddy. What I really don't like is hard-core rap. I think most of it is absolutely ridiculous. Lately, I have grown to hate Nickelback, ughhh!

Movies:

I really like spoof comedies like "Not Another Teen Movie" and "Don't be a Menace While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood." All-time favorites include: "When Harry Met Sally"..."Forrest Gump"..."Blazing Saddles"..."Blow"..."Clueless"

Television:

I know it is getting ridiculous, but "Desperate Housewifes" has me addicted. "Scrubs" makes me laugh out loud, and I never get tired of "Seinfeld"

Books:

For me, no finer book has ever been written than TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, by Nell Harper Lee. Every time I read it I'm affected and inspired. Other Favorites include THE HOUSE OF THE SPIRITS, by Isabel Allende; OF MICE AND MEN, by John Steinbeck; "CHARLOTTE'S WEB, by E.B. White." More recently, I've really enjoyed THE DAVINCI CODE...I couldn't sleep until I finished it.

Heroes:

Oprah Winfrey for her incredible generosity and understanding of the human spirit. Atticus Finch (Yes, know he is a fictional character). Atticus is intelligent, humble, kind, mature, dignified, compassionate, and easy-going. He's a brilliant literary figure and my ideal of what a man (and woman) should be.
