John Starkey

John Starkey has been writing songs and performing in clubs around the country for the last dozen years or so. Living and performing in New York, San Francisco and Minneapolis, his emotionally compelling soul/r&b style exemplifies all the aspects of what great songwriting can be. Along with his six-piece band, alluring voice and stunning range, Starkey has been consistently seducing audiences with his soulful moods.

John received critical acclaim for his debut release le compagnon de l'ame (No Alternative Records) from press and radio. In 2004, The Minnesota Music Academy awarded Starkey "Male Vocalist Of The Year", as well as nominations for "Best R&B Recording" and "Best R&B Artist/Group".
