International politics, the Middle East and the UN especially, Art, literature, poetry, movies, music, etc.

Music:

Anything really... country, but not the twangy stuff, classical, but nothing boring, musical theater, anything ballad like because those songs feel great to sing!

Movies:

The Contender, The Constant Gardener, Crash, The Interpreter, Munich, Goodwill Hunting, A Day Without a Mexican, Rent, Sometimes in April, Rent, Pride and Prejudice (both versions), The Crucible, Notting Hill

Books:

Poisonwood Bible, Prayer for Owen Meaney (an absolutely amazing book), Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, The World is Flat, The Great Gatsby
