DJ Kay started playing and collecting records around 1997 in Sendai, Japan
where he first got influenced by The Acid Jazz Movement. He held down weekly
residencies and organized Jazz Club Parties for over a decade with legendary
guest like United Future Organization, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Mitsu, The Beats,
JazzTronik, Tatsuo Sunaga, F.P.M, Raw Deal, James Nylon, Victor Davies,
Calm, and Yukihiro Fukutomi just to name a few. Since his move to Los
Angeles he became a resident and family member of The Legendary Abstract
Workshop. Kay's sets are packed with versatile sound from Jazz, to Soul,
Funk, to Broken Beat, Deep House, to Hip-Hop, Dub, to Breakbeats and all the
proper sounds to make an evening on the dance floor memorable.
