-SECWRIT-Born January 13th, 1985 at Crouse Irving Hospital in Syracuse,Ny. For the first 3 years I was raised on Manerva St. on the deep South Side of Syracuse. From there the family moved to the 900 block of Bellevue Ave on the border of the city's South and West Side.
As a young'n I played ball wit my boys from the block and my cousins at Higher Onondaga Park, thats where my hoop dreams began. Up until age 14 I pretty much lived on the 700 block of W. Brighton Ave where my grandmother, 2 uncles and cousins lived. Id stay there all summer and take the bus there everyday up until jr. high. While growin up tho mom's worked late cuz she was the manager of carousel mall when it first was opened and being built. Dad was a weed head who always had relapses of depression. Prior to marriage my father beat my mom badly but uptil I was a teen I never knew.
Thats when problems started again. Pops lost his job right when Moms got hired as Assistant VP of Smith Barney. Doors started gettin slammed, shit was bein broke daily and I was gettin in fist fights with him and on top of all that he started puttin his hands on my mother again. For year she let this happen and in high school he tried to burn the house down so we hadta leave n live out a hotel..Police came n watched me n friends ball cuz I had death threats writin on my walls in the crib from my father. This was the worst it got. This is when I started writin' instead of focusin on ballin, even tho this was just after winnin a Dunk Contest in a City Wide Tourny at Faith Heritage off Midland Ave. I used to write n freestyle wit friends but I started usin the pen to let out my anger, which by this time I needed counseling for cuz I was snappin for petty reasons n punchin holes in the wall and deeper shit.
After that happend n my pops was arrested n kicked out for a year shit cooled down but then other shit started happenin'.. My grandmother fell down our stairs in the middle of the night..It forced an amputation, which ended up infected and lead to her death. She died at our house in front of everyone in her family. The day of her funeral one of my closest friends growin up was killed in a moter cycle accident. After that I went to community college in Buffalo,NY and lived on Englewood Ave near the West Side of Buffalo. I got focused and battled the University at Buffalo head of their Hip Hop SA at a live battle.. I came ready n merked him..The crowd was hyped n homie got on the mic n thanked me sayin "u make me hafta step my skill up son". That got me exposure on that campus n I continued battlin until hustlin tree's got me in a lil trouble. Me n my shorty were pushin weght for extra choppy and someone that owed us n got talked to went n snitched. The police found nuttin but a scale, empty freezer bags wit stems and a roach but it was enuff to get out warrent for me n force my girl into some outpatient re-hab.
I left Buffalo n never went bac. But leavin there didnt make shit better. When I came home 1 of 2 of my peoples I grew up ballin wit that was makin moves had a tragedy. Joey "Vegas" Tirado of Ace and Vegas was shot n killed near Skiddy Park. They were on Branch Off Record s n was gettin offers but Joey's death came before they got the recognition they deserved. That death hit me n got me a lil motivated.. I came back to The Cuse n got focused n started makin connections from all over to help create a buzz. I entered some battle tournaments and compeated in some on-line n went un-defeated battlin MC's from around the world. After usin' that to get my writin back on point, I hooked up wit my My Uncle LeRoy, who manages a local legend Blues Singer Rosevelt Dean (you can catch him on the Dinasaur BBQ commercials and playing there) who helped guide me on how ta start makin moves ta get a buzz and eventually hooked up it DJ Flagg and started record at Hi-Face Productions... Im always down to get on a track wit the local talent doin big things.. fuck all that beefin shit its bout gettin money.
Im just tryin to write n record some crack and get exposure, but Im tryin to get away from the independant aspect n get on a label be it indie or major. At my point right now I feel a indie label could help get me the exposure I need without all the other financial aspects n stress, so if you a label n you on point from The Cuse lookin 4 talent or you tryin ta collab on a suttin just holla at me on here or [email protected] SELLING PRODUCTION!!
