Armed with my Fujifilm digicam, iBook and Elements, I've been finding my style as a photographer. Don't think I'll be challenging Mr David Bailey for a while, but might get there.
Love Sci-fi. Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate (prefer the film!). Also in to William Gibson, Philip K. Dick and Asimov. Not too hot on A C Clarke tho'.
Manga and Anime has come up on my radar. Akira and Ghost in the Shell - what films!
People who'll make me think, or who I make think.Artists, photographers, models and musicians.People who are comfortable in their own skins.
I love music. R&B, Blues, Soul, Britpop, Lo-Fi, the works. But if you have to make me choose....
give me something mellow like Jack Johnson or Everything But The Girl;
or something uplifting like Faithless;
with pounding energy from Kaiser Chiefs, Oasis or Mr Manson.
And if I need to chill, Mozart is always on hand....
Best film I've seen in a while - Wallace and Gromit in The Curse of the Wererabbit. Brilliant British comedy!
The Matrix is a stand out film for me. Saw it in the cinema and it blew me away. Shame about the sequels....
Star Wars - first film I ever saw, and still takes me back to my childhood!
Ghost in the Shell. The opening sequence is amazing.
Final Fantasy - seriously underrated as a film. Maybe not big box office, but the animation is incredible.
Pretty much anything with Johnny Depp in, which I guess makes me sound like a stalker, but he has this ability to lift a film out of mediocrity.
And the collected works of Tim Burton (bar Planet of the Apes - Tim, what were you thinking?) Vincent is a classic!
Heavily in to CSI, Law and Order, Criminal Intent (do you see a pattern here).
Otherwise, my TV viewing is mostly taken up by documentaries and films.
Did I mention William Gibson, Asimov, Dick, Stephenson?
Can I add Terry Pratchett, whose wierd take on the English Language and the fantasy genre must be some of the most original work I've read?
Tom Peters - who just inspires me.
Trevor Bayliss, inventor of - amongst other things - the wind up radio.
Kylie Minogue. OK, so what has the diminutive Australian Pop Princess done? How about raised awareness that breast cancer isn't just for women over "a certain age?"
Eric Clapton. What that man does with a guitar is breath taking (and add to that Jimi Hendrix, Mark Knopfler, George Harrison and anyone else who can get a decent tune out of it!)
Henry VII, Henry VIII and Charles II, who brought about revolution in the monarchy and nation. And while we're at it, Prince Philip - for continuing to put himeself in harm's way in spite of his privillage. The same goes for Prince Andrew, who flew as a decoy during the Falklands.
And many other people who have inspired me by deed or writings.
