About Me

Hello…and welcome to my humble virtual abode, please make yourself comfortable, take your shoes off, take seat….and enjoy the ride….muah ha ha ha!
Ok enough of that….I’m Marcus, I’m 31 years old and I live in the wonderful (cough, cough!) town of Basingstoke in southern England and have done for about 15 of the past 18 years (OMG that’s more than an average life sentence now, isn’t it?). I’m originally from Cardiff, Wales, though my constant wanderings have taken me to such places as Bruggen, Germany; Elgin, Moray and several places in Norfolk.
I suppose if you were to categorise me you would have to put me somewhere between goth and metalhead….I am rather music mad, my cd collection bursts at the seams…I like anything from 80’s thrash, death metal, sleaze and cheesy metal, industrial and trad goth. I love going to gigs and try to get to see as many as possible.
If you were to sum me up I suppose you would find me as being laid back and easy going, However I tend to be a bit shy around people I don’t know, though it’s a completely different story once you get to know me! ;) I also try to be there as much as possible for my friends…even if it means hauling arse out of ed to help somebody out in the middle of the night!
Several of my friends have also remarked that I’m one of the ‘nicest blokes’ they know (Personally I’m slightly miffed by this as being a ‘nice bloke’ completely undermines my plans for world domination…after all Ernst Blofeld wasn’t a ‘nice bloke’ now was he?)
I have a very dry, off the wall sense of humour, I’ve also been variously told that my humour can be sarcastic, a bit ‘sick’ and ‘perverted’ at times (they obviously didn’t notice the halo above my head!).
People? Well I’m very open minded, so I’ll pretty much talk to anyone, however I can’t stand materialism, arrogance, ignorance, pettiness and narrow minded bigotry. As these, unfortunately, seem to be rather common traits within the human race so it pretty much rules out me liking the vast majority of humankind….
