I have an intense love / appreciation for power lines and street signs. Why? I don't know but I feel like they make for interesting photographs. Although my taste is slightly skewed and I am rarely a good judge of anything at all. That said I am known to be very passionate of these tastes, be them good or bad, thereby I am often able to convince people I have good taste. And since taste is relative I can thereby make myself correct. So I do in fact have excellent taste and your opinion sucks unless it's agreeing with mine. Genius right? It's the whole basis behind American poltics.
Stuff I'm into: Photography, Graphic Design, Buddhism, Comic Books, Web Comics, Music of the 'alternative' or 'punk' persuasion, Movies and Television that make one think as well as entertain, Cartoons with a sarcastic wit, Politics, and anyone who can carry on an intelligent debate - regardless of the topic.
As mentionded above I've recently gotten very into Tibetian Buddhism as well as Zen. I don't pretend to know everything or even much about it but the impact it's had on my life thus far has been huge. This is saying alot because I firmly don't believe in organized religion and I shy away very much from spirituality. I've picked up Buddhism mostly for the philosophical and psychological aspects and I've been blown away

Almost everyone on my friends list is someone I already know personally, or a band I'm already into. I consider myself open minded and outgoing, however i don't "collect" myspace friends like many here. I do remove people I don't talk to. With that in mind if you're interested in talking to me and / or getting to know me, DO NOT just send a friend invite, send me a message or IM me on AIM at .. runtrebel. Don't be afraid to say hi. But have a reason to talk, please?!
This includes bands, you can send me invites all you want but unless i REALLY love your music clips or I already know you I'm not going to add you. In other words... don't bother.
I am interested in meeting people interested in politics, photography, music and/or design and I'm not a picky person as to who I associate. I have a wide variety of interests and enjoy a good discussion.
My interests range and don't necessarily conform to any one genra or type of sound. I consider myself pretty open minded as far as music is concerned. The following is a short list, in no particular order of some musicians I'm into:
Muse, Johnny Cash, Anti-Flag, Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, NoFX, Alkaline Trio, The World/Inferno Friendship Society, Spider Nick & The Maddogs, The Postal Service, System of a Down, Tiger Army, Pearl Jam, No Use For A Name, Foo Fighters, Heavens, H2O, Edna's Goldfish, Less Than Jake, Midtown, Reel Big Fish, Everclear, Nirvana, Green Day, Me First and the Gimme Gimmies, Bad Religion, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Powerman 5000, Against Me!, Linkin Park, The Distillers, Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Rage Against The Machine, Nine Inch Nails, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Flogging Molly, Sublime, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Marilyn Manson, Atmosphere, The Living End, Brother Ali, Operation Ivy, Aerosmith, Streetlight Manifesto, The Dead Kennedys, Neil Young, The Suicide Machines, The Epoxies, Bob Dylan, The Who, The Doors, Spring Heeled Jack USA, Smashing Pumpkins, The Clash, The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, John Coltrane, & Miles Davis.
Go see Children of Men! And after that go see Pan's Labyrinth!
I like movies that make you think, but like everyone I enjoy stupid action movies and comedys from time to time. Like everyone of my generation I enjoy Quentin Tarentino (Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs) and Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy). But I'm also a big fan of Alex Proyas (Dark City, The Crow, I Robot) and Robert Rodriguez (Desperado, Sin City, Spy Kids (WTF?!)). That considered I never skimp on the classics, you can never beat a good Hitchcock (If you need me to name a movie you're an asshole).
Some notes:
I barely ever watch TV anymore at all but when I do I enjoy:
Lost, The Office, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Seinfeld, Family Guy, & The Simpsons.
I won't lie I mostly read comics, tech books and either philosophical or political theory. I rarely read fiction novels or such like most people. Some of my favorite writers though are (in no particular order):
Frank Miller, Jeffery Zeldman, Brian Micheal Bendis, Mark Millar, Robert Thurman, Thomas More, Machieveli, Karl Marx, Alan Moore, Warren Ellis and Robert Kirkman.
Paul Rand, John McCain, Ralph Nader, Mick Foley, Diamond Dallas Page, Paul O'Neil (the Yankee), Tesla, and Howard Dean.
