Stunning stories and wild electronica

About Me

"We spend more time in the company of strangers at work than we do with the people we love."I, Thalamus kingpin and former Divine Comedy member Grant Gordon links up with writer and artist Leigh Money for a hardcore, sci fi SFX electronica feast concept album about WORK. The album follows white collar workers through a working day...Leigh's lyrcis, prose scraps, word collages and micro stories flow in and out of Grant's beats, soundscapes and cavalcades of samples and song fragments...Burroughs meets The Streets meets the Aphex Twin via the dark side of the moon...Most people work. Most of us have to. It’s how we live, how we survive. Yet most of us moan about it. Fantasise about winning the lottery, retiring early, enjoying endless days of sun, golf, lunch and Sky movies. And yet we are restless creatures, needing interaction, needing routine, needing the social contact of strangers. For if we don’t work, we might just implode…WORK is an album. A concept book. A multimedia experience. A union of spoken word and electronica. A homage to workers everywhere.
