About Me

Ian is a self taught musician hailing from Wakefield, MA. Ian started playing guitar in 1986, at the age of 15. After playing in a few different Boston based bands, he moved south to Boone, NC. Ian formed the band Wherever It Goes, in the fall of 1995. In the spring of 1998, the band relocated to Asheville, NC. After W.I.G. disbanded in the summer of 1999, Ian set out on his own to pursue a solo career. To date, He has 5 solo albums (4 treking across the universe, The Ocean, Sevastopol, Spaceship Television, & The Road.)
In the fall of 2001, Ian joined forces with members of the former Boone, NC based band, Hidden Progression, to help create MarsupiaL. MarsupiaL is still going strong after all these years. They just released their new album, Curtains. You can find out more information about that at www.marsupialmusic.com .
In the fall of 2000 Ian helped start the experimental psychedelic powerpop band The Alarm Clock Conspiracy with long time friend Chris Carter. (MarsupiaL, The Greenfields, Mr. Netron) .
Ian is currently recording tracks for a new solo album, (no title, as of yet) with fellow MarsupiaL, J ferris engineering parts of the project.

Ian and fellow MarsupiaL, Chris Carter, are currently recording tracks for their debut Alarm Clock Conspiracy album. More news to come...
