Virginia

The world moves for love. It kneels before it in awe.

About Me

I'm not sure as to what I should say. :) Well my name is Virginia. I am currently studying Medical Assisting at Everest Institute, and I plan on graduating as soon as I finish my extern, which will be on October 15. :D I am a die-hard Aerosmith fan, thru and thru. They never cease to amaze me, and I love them with everything I have!! You might not guess it right away, but my favorite movie is Star WarS, and I LOOOOOOOVE to geek out as a Jedi at conventions!! It is so much fun. I've met soooo many famous people from the Star Wars series, it's not even funny!! :D I love the story of Peter Pan. It has been a favorite of mine since I was very little. I love the way Peter and NeverNeverLand represent eternal childhood innocence-- "For once you have found your way there, you can never ever grow old." The live action version that came out in '03 brought tears to my eyes; I felt like a kid again!! Soooo beautiful. :D
What else? Hmm. There is so much to say.
I am a very odd sort of a girl! :) If it were up to me, I'd dress Victorian all the time; either that or '40s, if I had the money. Nothing means more to me than my friends or my family and I will always do anything for them.
My favorite feeling is the sand between my toes and the waves over my feet.... Big Corona State Beach, Southern California.
My favorite sound is the hum of an amp before Aerosmith comes on..... and then all the music thereafter. :D
I love love LOVE the sound of a train going by. Whistle blowing, wheels over the tracks....
My favorite colors are blue and black.
My favorite smell is that of my old bear. He smells like home.
I also love the smell of the outdoors, especially after a rainstorm.... I love the smell of Christmas. The tree, the smell of a chimney in the cold air.....
My favorite animals are lions and penguins.
My favorite foods are chocolate, pineapple and sushi.
My worst addiction is Coca-Cola. At the rate I'm going I will have no kidneys in five years.
I will admit that I love watching TV, although you're more than likely to find me on the Travel Channel. I've been watching that obsessively lately; I love Samantha Brown's travel show. I also enjoy nature shows on Discovery and Animal Planet, and paranormal shows on Discovery and SciFi. TAPS is awesome.
My worst fear is being attacked by a shark or a large spider (don't you dare laugh, b***h) but above all else, I am terrified of losing someone I love.
My worst habbit is procrastination, as well as forgetfulness. I am painfully stubborn.
At the same time I am creative, spontatneous, wild, caring and kooky. (That's right. Kooky.)
I have a younger brother named Jack, but I adopted my very dear friend Peter on as my older brother and also adopted my best friend Dakota as another younger brother, as well. So I guess you could say I've got three brothers!
Which reminds me that in May or June of 2008 I'm going to be somebody's half-sister, so you guys had best be nice! That's right, my Dad and my step-mom Becky are gonna have a baby! :D LOL
I really don't like the phrase "best friend." It makes me think that people pick favorites, when really, every single friend I have has affected me and made my life even better, so I therefore think the phrase "best friend" is unfair. Although you will find me use it from time to time. I guess you could indeed say that I do have "best friends"-- friends that are the closest to me, that I trust above anything else......
Kathleen is one of them. She also goes by K.C. or Wedge (after her favourite Star Wars character). We met in the eighth grade due to our shared love of Star Wars and have been like THIS since. LOL. I thank God every day I met her because I truly believe we are kindred spirits! :D
Dakota, to me, is my baby brother. He, too, is a kindred spirit and has a beautiful soul, he is unlike any other person I've ever met in my entire life. He inspires me in ways I could have never imagined, although he, like the rest of us Homo Sapiens, is far from perfect. I love him more than words can say and cannot imagine my life without him, save for me bustin' up into tears. :) Thank you, Dee, for being the greatest inspiration I've ever encountered. I love you more than you will ever know.
Jamie is going to celebrate her Sweet Sixteen on September 21, 2007, and I met her two months before she turned 15. We met one night when our families happened to share the same dinner table at Club Med in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and if she hadn't told me she was two months shy of fifteen, I would have guessed she was my age. She has this wisdom about her that is so far beyond her physical age, it astounds me. I consider her a sister and look to her for advice thru the toughest times.
Although honestly, I thank God everyday for all three of them. Because all three of them have inspired me. I love them like crazy. I wouldn't be the person I am today without them.
I'm German and a bit of English on my father's side; I'm Anglo-Saxon on my mother's, as well as 1/16 Native American (Cherokee) and 1/8 Irish (you can see it in my temper). What can I say, all Americans are mutts.
I'm just..... me. :D
What Famous Pinup Are You?
You are Bettie Page
Girl next door with a wild streak
You're a famous beauty - with unique look
And the people like you are cultish about it

My Interests

Star Wars, Aerosmith, Harry Potter, Irish Dance, writing, baseball (ANAHEIM ANGELS!!!!!!), Phantom of the Opera, the ocean/ beach, animals (my favorite animal is the lion! :D)..... I love movies, especially horror movies. I love the outdoors: camping, everything! I am a HUGE sucker for anything Disney. After growing up a half-hour's drive from Disneyland in SoCal, it is no wonder why the park and the movies have always had such special meaning for me. They touch my very heart and soul, bring me comfort and fill me with such joy as to where I might burst! :D I also love the paranormal.... I do indeed believe in ghosts because I myself have heard what I believe was a spirit, going thru my friend's kitchen one afternoon (ask me about Max).

I'd like to meet:

Music:

1. Aerosmith is the greatest band in existence. Period. I adore them with every fiber of my being and, I swear to God, I wouldn't be alive today if it weren't for them. I love them more than words can say. As of the 2007 new year I have been to five concerts and plan on going to many more.
**********
I have two more bands that I include in the ranks of "Favorite Band(s)," although obviously Aerosmith takes first reign. The Dresden Dolls, angels in my eyes, are amazing and they inspire me so much. Third and definately not least is Train. I can't believe I've forgotten about them up until now, I seriously thought I had something up here about how much I love them! I've been a huge fan since the age of about fourteen, when I first heard "Meet Virginia" on VH1's Top 20 and thought, "Good God, my name's in a song! And it's in the Top 20!" Two years later, when I met my now ex-fiance, it was Train's music we usually talked about (when it came to music, that is), since they were one of his favorite band's, as well (although he was in love with the Doors like I am in love with Aerosmith). Our song was Drops of Jupiter, even. :) Train's music has such an other-worldly quality about it I've seldom seen in other bands, a sweetly innocent yet brutal honesty about it all that, along w/ Patrick Monahan's incredible voice, makes my heart melt every time.
I also love to listen to Rob Dougan, Paul Simon, Celtic Woman, the Scissor Sisters, Imogen Heap, Queen, Beach Boys, Moby, Frank Sinatra, Peter Gabriel, 30 Seconds to Mars, Coldplay, Creature Feature, Regina Spektor, Interpol, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong.... basically rock'n'roll's my favorite, although I also ADORE dixieland jazz, like Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, etc. I also love classical music. Beethoven is my favorite composer. My two favorite songs of all time are "When You Wish Upon A Star" (from Pinnochio) and "Music of the Night," from the Phantom of the Opera.

Aerosmith - Beyond Beautiful

Movies:

My absolute favorite actor in the existence of movies is Gary Oldman. I've been in love with the guy since I was fourteen. It's amazing how much of a chameleon he is; he can play any character, any role. One of my favorite roles he's done was in Dracula; he even played my favorite character in the Harry Potter movies, Sirius Black!
My other favorite actors are Johnny Depp and Edward Norton. I've been a die-hard Johnny fan ever since the first time I saw him in Edward Scissorhands-- I was five! :) And as far as my darling Edward Norton is concerned, my dear friend Jamie and I think along the same lines as one another: "Edward and I are going to be married. We watched 'The Illusionist' (favorite movie ever) and 'Painted Veil.' It was like porn." :D
Aah, Gary, Johnny and Edward..... what else could a girl ask for?

Television:

Lost, 24, the 4400, XFiles, Forensic/ Cold Case Files, Crossing Jordan, Scrubs, NYPD Blue, Crocodile Hunter, Quantum Leap, Ghost Hunters, The Simpsons, Reno 911, Seinfeld, King of the Hill, Law and Order (all three o' them)
I'm also a HUUUGE fan of So You Think You Can Dance. Which is weird, 'cos up until about a year ago, when my stepmom got me into it, I hated reality TV. Matter of fact, I still do. This is the only reality show I'll watch. :) FOr those who are tuned in, my bets are on either Lacey or Sabra winning the whole thing, although, frankly, every one of them now is friggin' amazing. I also am madly in love w/ Pasha, and even went as far as dreaming about him recently, in which we were married and he got me into the show to see him dance. :D Tee hee hee. What? I have a thing for foreigners..... especially if they can dance..... :D LOL

"GLORIA!! Betty, Betty, Betty Betty Betty Betty Betty. Say! That was some real Nancy Drew stuff there, .......... Nancy. Priscilla, I honestly thought, on my mother's grave, that your real name was Carrol."

Wade Robson is a GENIUS.

Books:

"The simplicity of uneven black on faded white is enough to ignite the soul and dare the brush to keep pace. Pages worn, edges torn, as cared for as the broken spine of the stories we know all too well, we cling to them like child to mother, looking to them for guidance and shelter from the storm outside. It is within the arms of those pages we find peace."
Inspired by Hokuto Konishi

**MUSIC: "Ordinary" by Train**

Favorite books ever are the Harry Potter series. :D
"Mary Reilly" by Valerie Martin, "Sphere" by Michael Chriton (the movie is a worthless piece of s**t, DO NOT SEE IT), "The Haunting of Hill House" by Shirley Jackson, "Where the Heart Is" by Billie Letts, "The Three Musketeers" by Andre Dumas, "Tommy's Tale" by Alan Cumming, "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott, the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling

Heroes:

"My heroes had the heart to lose their lives out on a limb, and all I remember is thinking, 'I wanna be like them.....'"
~~Gnarles Barkley, 'Crazy'

One of my biggest inspirations in life, for about ten or more years now, has been Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter. He and his selfless love for Mother Earth's creatures are two of God's greatest gifts to the world, in my honest opinion. He loved his animals so much, all he wanted to do was tell the world how beautiful they were, and if the world were filled with more Steve Irwins, it would be perfect. I miss him more than you could ever imagine.........

Steve Irwin, my step-mother's mom (Dorothy Cavanaugh), Anne Frank, Elie Weisel, Walt Disney, *Hokuto Konishi, *Jaimie Goodwin, *Pasha Kovalev, *Sara VonGillern, *Sabra Johnson, Katherine Hepburn, the boys of Aerosmith, Gary Oldman, Amanda Palmer, Brian Viglione, Johnny Depp and Alan Cumming.
